There have been a lot of mixed reactions over the latest Legend of Zelda entry, subtitled Twilight Princess.  The game is top notch for sure, but has it changed and evolved enough to be considered among the best of the best?

With the recent release of Zelda II on the Virtual Console, a drastically different kind of Zelda, I have begun to question what kind of changes I would like to see made to the series.  Should there be a major change?  Should there be a presentation based change? You decide, what do you think the change should be for the next entry, if there is a change at all.

To tell the truth, I'm perfectly fine the way the series is, and a formula change would deeply disappoint me. I mean, why do I keep going back to play the same series over and over again? It's because I like the forumla, going to and beating dungeons is simply the thing that really appeals to me.

Really, as far as I'm concerned, the formula is nearly flawless. The only thing that makes a game better or not is its creativity with the dungeons, and certain other minor aspects along the way. I rather liked TP, since some of the dungeons were very fun to play and really qutie original.

The series can stay the way it is, they just need to keep coming up with newer, creative ways to work with the base forumla and the dungeons, world map, etc.

I would say it needs more action the series because I hate having to seach for certain items which only get used once a dungeon. Alot more action and more adventure  because it would be good it would be exciting because there wasn't enough action in Twilight Princess.

I would just like to see a change in the presentation of Zelda ! Were in 2007 ( Well 2006 when TP came out ) i think that there should be some voice overs by now.Except for Link leave him as is don't really need a voice for him.Other then that leave the formula the way it is !!!

I'd just like to add that I think that voice acting in Legend of Zelda would be a bad idea, since there's the chance that the actors could be crap and it would detract from the experience.

In fact, it was a lot of people in this very same union that stated that they liked having their own imaginary voices for people (albeit they were talking about other users in this union), and hearing them for real would change the way they perceive people. It's much the same way with LoZ; give them voices, and it will ruin some of the imagination that makes the game so great. ;)

I like the formula the wya it is. I agree with ihateelvis that the dungeons need to be harder and more creative. There ought to be more action and adventure with the new capablities of the Wii. If they were to change the formula, I don't know what they would change it to. i'm sure they would find something to do it on. Overall, I think that the game needs to be harder and not obvious to your diehard fan. Possible spoiler??????? For instance, we know how to defeat Shadow Ganon or other type bosses. I think that the last 2 Zelda games (TP and WW) have had easy bosses and the Darknuts are harder than the bosses. I think voice over would be a bad idea. Mentioned above, you wouldn't want to end up with cruddy voice over. To me, it would also rid of that wonder of how the voices would be of Zelda, Link, Ganon, other characters. Basically, you read a book that you really like and wonder what the characters would look like and how they talk. Once you see a movie based on that book, you can't get rid of that image in your head because of the movie.

I vote yes. The current formula is dated. There needs to be more in the game itself. I think an approach like Oblivion would help the Zelda series a whole lot.

I want the overworld to be put to good use. Not just side-quests, but something like a 'dungeon' that covers the whole world! Imagine that in the way you had to *spoilers*

Restore Ilia's memory. There, you finally had to do something outside of dungeons. I also liked WW and MM for that. They don't have to scrap the dungeons, but it would be cool if the actual fight takes place on the fields of Hyrule!

would love to see some sorta multiplayer. whether co-op, arena style deathmatches, or just mission races.

I think Zelda doesn't need to change since people will continue to buy them anyway, but I want a change of sorts. Honestly I like the formula of Zelda. But I think it needs more verity. First off they need new characters. Zant was a good idea, but they ruined it by forcing Ganon into the story. They also need to change the dugeons. They are too predictable and lack verity. I also would not mind if they added a new weapon that you actually use more then once in the game. They had a few new items in TP but once you use them to beat the boss you hardly ever use them again.
