Mario Kart DS Tourney

Date: August 5, 2006

# of Participants: No more than 20, but at least 10

Before I put up all of the rules, I'd like to make sure that people will participate. Also, everyone will be able to take a vote on which 4 characters will be usable in the game....this is meant to switch things up a bit.  I will list all of the characters in MKDS and you guys will have to vote for who you use the most and are good at. The 4 with the most votes will be usable.  The 4 most voted for will also determine your teams....for example there could be a             "Team Mario"...and overall the people who vote for that character will be in that specific team (unless it gets overcrowded of course).  Then all of the teams will face off. As you can see, there are 3 open slots still so i need some more people to enter.  The way this will work is....

1. The first matchups will be Team Mario VS. Team Yoshi, and Team Toad VS. Team Dry Bones

2. The winners of the match go on to face eachother.  Assuming everyone shows up, the winner of the 2nd round will race in the 3rd rounmd and the winner of that is the winner.

3. Please discuss your matches in here, you have all weekend to setup your match. Whoever doesnt show up is disqualified.  As advice, if there are even two of you online please just go ahead with the match. Chances are if you dont race then you wont race at all.

I never thought this union cold to tourneys. Sorry, you're going to have to swap my position with an American, I cant be overseer in worldwide cometitions.

How well the races be set up Rev. freak? Here are some of my ideas...

#1

We give out possitons 1-4 in each team. The number 1's race each other then post who won. Then 2's race each other and post who won. We continue this till every one is done raceing the team who has the most wins goes on to the next brachet. In case of Teams only haveing two we give them two numbers. In case of a tie the two teams will pick a racer from each respected team then those two racers race and which ever player wins that team's player shall go on.

We give out possitons 1-4 as in the one above however, if you lose the race you are replaced by the next person in line. (example: Team: A's 1 and Team: B's 1 race. Team B loses. Next race it will be Team: A's 1 and Team: B's 2)

Who ever is out of racers first team loses. This puts team's of two at a disadvantage.

We do races wear it's 2 on 2. Ex: Mario, Mario VS. Yoshi Yoshi. This will create a simple 2 races for each braket which ever team finishes first that team goes on. In case of a tie a tie does #1 style except each team shall pick two racers. In case of teams of two both race two times.

Tell me which one you like more. Or if you have differnet idea you want to use plz tell me.
