*Rumors* New controller for the 360 in the making. Nothin completely innovative or inntuitive, but more simpler. Microsoft has shown they like the Wii, but maybe their scared?

Their have been many rumors of Microsoft of making big changes like this in the past, i think this if any change at all will be small.

Microsoft made it clear that they do not support the motion sensing controllers, and they have been asked many times if they would impliment it in the 360...theyve been straightforward about it and they say no, and that the camera and accessories are the innovative route they are taking

it wasnt the same thing though, the technology Nintendo uses in their controller is completely different, it has about 3 millionx as much freedom. Plus they only did that for pc's, and pc's have way too many accessories and gadgets as it is for one single motion sensor to get recognized.

I know but what im sayin is that they are makin small changes in the fear that their controllers are to complex, with the less complex Wiimote out.

thats impossible for them to do, to make it less complex theyd have to take out buttons, and if they take out buttons half of the 360 games wouldnt be compatible with the controller.

called repositioning them and changing the way the controller feels i mean look at some of the controller u have, i mean u play with a xbox360 controller and u play with a xbox controller XBOX 360 feels better smaller relocater white and black buttons, grove forms into your hands. So u dont necessarily need to reduce the number of buttons.

Yeah the 360 controller is trully an awsome device its works perfectlly vibrates has shown good batterey life in the time i have used it. Plus the whole light up to tell you which player you are is a brilliant idea. I definatley think it is flwaless, however i do agree with revolutionfreak it is not as innovatie as the wiimote by far. Actually when i think about it it's perfect for the xbox 360 type user whom in most cases is a serious gamer whom cares about high tech stuff and this pad delivers in every way.

I played 360 once, yet, I got used to the controller really fast so I'm guessing that it's pretty good. quite an upgrade from the original XBox controller aka <Mammoth> *shudders*.

Still, Microsoft doesn't seem to have fully learned their lesson on the subject of gigantic contraptions, have you seen that AC adapter? It's bigger and heavier than anything I can realistically conceive on this earth. If you haven't seen that thing before, try and check it out, it really warrants at least a short look!

the thing is a frickin brick....and the system is too heavy to casually carry anywhere like a gamecube or ps2.  Im afraid im going to break it or its going to overheat everytime i use it lol

even the cords are humongous though....and the brick is almost like a hazard.  Why is it that Nintendo can use an adapter and have it 10x smaller than the 360's, but when microsoft uses an adapter it has to be the size of the empire state building? Microsoft is pretty strange when it comes to their technology

hmmm....i dont think they really have reason to be scared.

Nintendo will probably help their 360 sales because of the while wii60 thing, and plus Microsoft seems to be supporting Nintendo's initiative to change the industry

Sony's pricing will pretty much make up anyones mind on whether to get a 360 or ps3.  $200 is a big price difference for such little change in graphical abiltities.  Plus their whole motion sensing PS2- mock up controller will be a flop.  If developers want to use motion sensing theyll make a wii game, and they can do it for less money.

I predict this war to be the opposite of what other people predict.  I expect Nintendo and Microsoft to be the big competitors this next gen, no 360 and ps3

Dude i disagree, they should definatley see them as a threat, anyway they would be stupid not too after all they rushed their product to market to shorten the gap in sales of the last generation (which was supposedley 10 million units less then Sony).  I personally am skeptical of the ps3 this time around and think its headed for a big fall mainlly due to its price, but if they continue with their software library then their is no question that they will screw the 360.  Btw i agree that Nintendo is not part of this next generation because they are taking a whole new perspective i the game industry, however i do think that Microsoft should not be too scared since they do have an awsome product with a great future ahead and definatley a new generation to plan for at least.

I don't think they are scared maybe just a bit worried after all it's two new system coming out at almost the same time and they are going to take a huge bite out of the market that Microsoft has owned for the last year or so !

in my opinion the whole "Wii is not a next-generation console" is bullcrap. yes, they take a different approach, but honestly thats what every company should do anyway.  Just because the wii is drastically different (and in a good way) is no reason for Nintendo themselves or any of their competition to exclude them from the system war. Nintendo is a bigger threat this generateion than ever before.I think Microsoft and Sony have a big slap in the face headed their way straight from Mario and Peach's Mushroom Castle

I guess you are right in a way but you have to realize that all the big improvments in specs for the ps3 and 360 are in processing speed graphics memory and so forth, and seeing that nintendo has barley made any strides in this actual area it is acceptable for them to say they are not part of the next gen war.  I mean Nintendo have completley turned what the industry has gotten used to and so it is bound to be headed for a whole new leaque of its own.  After all for you to have a console war you have to be fighting on the same basis otherwise how do u measure who is winning.  The only flaw as i see it with my argument, however is the fact that they all fight for more profit and higher maket share so in a sense they do have a measure for how well you are doing.

it seems they are going to use a camera that will detect movement via the shiny logo on the controller, i don't know how that would work...and i don't think i've seen hardcore evidence yet. just something i saw on some website (really reliable info here - i know)

overall, i don't think it's a big deal. and once again M$ is being a fanboy of N, they really admire Nintendo it seems - even wanted to buy them a few years back.

i reserve the right to be wrong.

look at the DS and PSP>...the DS doesnt come close to measuring up to the psp graphically, and it is WAY different than the PSP in terms of how to control it....but did Nintendo exclude themselves form that? Nope....and they are even winning the handheld war

what im basiclly saying is that the most recent gaming generations have been defined by signifacant improvment in graphics even the one we are starting november has been for the most part graphics, so when i hear say ninteno say we are not next gen i simply understand that they mean their graphics are not next  gen.
