I will have full impressions later, but here are my first impressions.
Luckily, I managed to get my Wii at midnight last night via my reserve. When I came home, my brother and I jumped into making Mii's and then tried Wii Sports. I have to admit, Tennis is probably the most satisfying thing I have done in gaming for ages. In fact, all of the Wii Sports games seemed to be mindless fun.... other than golf. The speaker was also well implimented, the support was there but they were smart enough to know not to overdo it (unlike TP, sorry to say)
Afterwards, I played a few minigames of Super Monkey Ball. I definitely agree with the guys who reviewed this game, it has a few minigames that are great and others that are clunky and just dont work. It was fun, but I havent really spent much time with the game yet.
(Little, if any spoilers)
Lastly, I finally got into Twilight Princess. I am not far at all, and in fact I am already stuck.... but there is no denying that this game has potential. I will be honest with all of you though, I am kind of disappointed. Before you go crazy and say I support Jeff or something (which I dont), remember that I am still very early on in the game. The intro was less epic than other Zelda games IMO, and I find the speaker support to be more annoying than anything because the speaker is used so frequently and unnecessarily. I've also noticed that the menu navigation isnt quite as easy to access as the previous Zelda games, of course though it isnt a major problem. As a final sidenote, there isnt a free camera in the Wii version, in case any of you were wondering. I dont find that to be that big of a deal though considering both OoT and MM didnt have free camera anyway.
UPDATE: After playing TP for another few hours, I have determined that this game does indeed feel like Zelda :P It starts off kinda slow, but it gets a lot more interesting and action oriented.
These are only my FIRST impressions, and I am sure they are bound to change within the next 24 hours.
