yes it does, it was one of the greatest for the N64 and continues to be a very popular game on the DS

It is the game that jump-started 3D gaming, I can't see how it couldn't end up in the HOF.

I remember finding the play area to be soooooooo big when I first played SM64 that I was literally dizzy! Of course, my sheer love of platformers only corroborates and solidifies its position in my personal top 10 games of all time.

When I first saw this game I was trying to decide weather I wanted a N64 or a PS and this game made me pick the N64 mostly because they game they had displayed in the PS section was Crash Bandicoot which in comparison isn't all that good...to summarize this game was the first 3-D 360 movement platformer...to summarize the summary this game owned...you don't need a summary of the summarized summary...

zelda oot came out in 98. so mario 64 came out frist.
