I'm sure this question has been asked several times, but it's always refreshing to get a more recent idea of what your opinions are. So, what is your favorite old school game?

It would have to be Zelda: A Link to the Past. Another close game is Super Mario World. These games I could play over and over.

Super Mario World closely followed by Yoshi Island. Both spectacular platformers and beat all other ones to date. ^_^

The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past

This game changed everything to me about video games, this is what truly defined the word videogame to me. Still to this date, this game is a top notch title which is recommended to all. I sincerely think this game is what brought most Zelda fans into the Zelda universe.

I don't have any old school games except the Sonic and Pac-Man ones, so all I can say is Pac-Man. I should be getting some VC titles soon. :P

I can't pick one specifically, but my definition of old school is Super Mario Bros 3.

Mine would be The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. If that's not old-school enough, though, then it's Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars! :)

I've got to go with Blaster Master again. I just played it recently and it's still a blast. It was my favorite game as a kid.

Sonic was mine. Remember, I didn't have a NES or SNES, I had a Sega. I played every Sonic game and they were my all time favorites when I was little and I still enjoy them on my Xbox like Sonic (Downloadable Arcade game.)

I loved Super Mario Bros. 3 to death when I was younger, so much so that I played it any chance that I got. However, if it is indeed old enough, I would most definitely pick Ocarina of Time, as it was revolutionary in every way possible.

Link to the Past is what I looked for in a game. The challange it brought and story line. LttP and Super Mario welcomed me to the video game world. These side scrolling games are what made us gamers today.
