I'm just curious to know does anyone here preform a regular maintenance on there consoles and controllers,or do you simply take a damp rag and wipe it down when there dirty?Had the day off today and i thought that i would spend the day cleaning all my consoles and controllers which by the way i do every 6 months or so .I like to open them all up and get my self a can of compressed air and give them a good once threw to get any dust or what knots out.Maybe that's why my consoles are in great shape even the ones that are 20+ years old !
I do, but its very low maitenance. If the consoles collect a thick layer of dust over the top I'll wipe it off with a rag. Also, some buttons get dirty around the edges. I flake it off with a Q-tip. Also, the analog stick for my GC controller has gotten blue...0.o I mean I know its 5 years old and all but I have no clue why it changed color... It's probably dirt and sweat >x< I have no clue how to clean that off. Anyone else get that too? A blue analog stick?
i dont take very good care of my consoles actually, atleast not until recently. I might wipe off some dust once and awhile from my GCN or PS2, but thats about it. However by the time i got my ds i was obsessed with keeping it clean and dent free, then of course i dropped it and it put a minor dent on the top of it and things went downhill from there. Now I have a DS Lite, and i constantly find myself trying to wipe off prints on the system and screen (buttons tend to get dirt around them as well).....same goes for my 360.

Im pretty much the same, and you remined me of my DSL crack obbsession. Basically, I keep checking the left hinge of my DS Lite every two seconds just to make sure-....Well, it's already cracked the whole way through (thanks you Ninty -.-) so I have no idea why ^.^
:lol: I'm like that too! Constantly cleaning the fingerprints on my Lite. Every time I open my Lite I do it slowly just in case I crack that left hinge! I only really wipe the dust off my other consoles but thats about it. I guess I love my Lite more
here here dear sir, i also get out the compressed air and give a good air shower to my consoles as well. i also wipe my controllers clean, and i keep my handhelds in mint condition as well, my launch day ds fatty - looks like it just came out of the box (save for one tiny scratch from that damn intect case!!)...i take very good care of my game stuff.
i take good care os my consoles but the damn 360 controller is white i mean i have to clean it at least twice a week thats including the fact that i wash my hands before and after playing cause my hands tend to get a little sweaty.
