This is where you can rant or discuss ESA's changes to E3, and event that may never be the same again. For any of you that missed the news, ESA has decided to 'shrink' E3 to a smaller convention, where it's apparently easier to host consoles, games and accessories.

Of course this makes it easier for Gamespot to capture the footage, as it will be less busy (crowds in the hundreds, not thousands apparently) for those of you subscribed.

What do you think?

In the long run I think this could be a good thing. E3 will be smaller yes, but more coverage will be there. Being smaller this could mean big announcements won't be made at E3 anymore.

Hey, if they really spread it around in conventions I don't really care....but they better deliver the goods at those conventions!

Yeah, I agree. Now we don't have to wait a year because the publishers aren't waiting for the next E3 to reveal secrets. Hopefully they will just announce at which ever event is convenient giving us juicy news all year round :D

my vote is out until after the first one comes and goes...next summer. E3 was nice, but i understand the obstacle the even was becoming to game productions...i would rather production continue than having to stop and create a fluff demo for the show.

and it is quite the circus - look at the footage of the ppl running to the wii booth this year....that's a bit crazy and not exactly what the show is supposed to be about anyway...at least not like animals, you know? it's supposed to be an INDUSTRY event for ppl in the industry...it's become an event hat anyone was going to (oh it happens)..so we'll see. at least nintendo pwned everyone at the last giant E3!!!! no one could top it - so they quit it!!!!
