So this thread is like a time machine, we talk as if this was the very first day of the EONU to remember how everything was at that time :P. Ok here I go:

OMG the revolution looks awesome !!! We're only a month away from May 9th where we'll finally get more info about that system !!!!!1!

I need to know more about that Katana game, the graphics look incredible !!

:lol: That was unusually cruel... Anyway: So what do you guys think the real name for the Revolution will be? I think they will keep it Revolution, anything else just wouldn't fit the console... because it really is "revolutionary!" Plus, they kept the DS' codename, so why not Revolution too? If they don't keep it though, it will probably be called the "Nintendo 128", considering Super Mario 128 is rumored to be coming to the Revolution. By the way Lebanese_boy, that Red Steel game looks amazing! It looks like you can actually do a realistic sword fight AND shoot people with the revmote!

No it wasn't, in an interview with EGM Nintendo spoke of the Nintendo DS as being a "codename" and not an official name. There is no way it will be called Wii. That would ruin any chance of Nintendo being thought of as "serious".

I hope they keep the Revolution, that name rocks. What's Red Steel though? (We're in Pre-E3 right now :P) (I forgot about the Revmote. I remember hyping Red Steel to be AAA, self-owned. :P)

Anyway, I wonder if they're gonna show the trailer for the new Zelda game this year. I just can't wait for Zelda TP to come out, it's gonna score 10/10 easily !!!

We're both right, I just checked the EGM issue I was referring to and in the interview Nintendo says to them that while the Nintendo DS is a codename, the real moniker will not be called Gameboy "something", because this handheld is not an extension of the Gameboy line. EGM then refers to it's former codename of Nitro.
