What to expect from WiiConnect24

I think it was Reggie who first introduced WC24 back at E3, but what are we to expect from it until then?

Personally, I want to see patches and maps, maybe new weapons get uploaded to games like Red Steel overnight. Legend Of Zelda could get new sidequests once in a while, and you could get bonus suits and stuff in M:Corruption.

i would expect items and maybe a level here and there...mostly i expect DS downloads to stream to my Wii, so I can come home and play the demo for PH!!!! *wishes*

i don't think it will be anything huge - cos you're limited to the 512 internal ram, now of course you can upgrade via the sd slot, i hope to get a 1 gig card, that should tide me over for quite a while being that MOST vc games will be fairly small in size.

I would love all of that stuff but I'm not expecting to get things like that too often because the service is free. Even if the games just got one new content pack with maps, weapons etc I'd be very happy. I'm expecting loooooads of demos though :)

a rumor suggests that WiiConnect24 wont have all the features in the UK as in the rest of the world.....the main feature being the ability to sleep.  Apparently the UK is passing a bill or something that forbids companies from having the sleep mode feature in their electronics due to electric conservation or something of that natureREVOLUTIONfreak

Ya I heard that in the news here on gamespot :( After the Wii is turned on we'll probably have to wait while it downloads all the new stuff. The law hasn't been passed yet so the Wii could come out before standy by is illegal in new products. Here's hoping.arfy2

:lol: Hopefully it won't be that slow because we have broadband now. :lol: It would be funny if we had to wait aaaages though. Everybody would go nuts because all they want to do is play Twilight Princess. Instead they are waiting for a new dress for Princess Peach to finish downloading!!!arfy2
