1. He can't speak a word of English. 2. He invented nearly every iconic character that makes Nintendo so great. 3. If anything, he brought back the entire gaming industry back to life with his innovation and genius.
everything about Miyamoto is great, I could write you a text filling the whole page but nobody would read it. This guy has a great sense of creativity and knows how to manage his things. He was able to create immersive games on very limited hardware, always took risks when making new games and lives for videogames. Also he has a great sense of humour and I consider him the father of videogames: when he talks, gamers sit and listen ... it's almost magical.
I mean he's a legend not because of Zelda but he made the best games around Mario 64, Super Mario World, Zelda LTTP, Zelda OOT, Super Mario Bros 3 and many other classics along the way. He gave us new games like Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Yoshi's Island, Pikmin Nintendogs and many other games. This guy has an amazing imagination. He should be honoured for his games and without him we won't have Mario, Zelda or all these other titles. He is working on Mario Galaxy and I think he will make it game we will never forget. I dont know, I think people would recognize Pikachu before Mario :?, but thats a hard one.
And I think Miyamoto is great because he just is, hes my idol for the future of my life :) I'm not so sure about that. Mario has been around a lot longer for one thing, and plus I can't think of anyone that doesn't know who Mario is. If I went up to my parents right now and asked who Mario was, they'd be able to tell me.... Pikachu on the other hand... not so much.

The Mario and Pokemon series has been very popular and lots of people probably know who Mario, Luigi, Pikachu and Yoshi are. I think mostly Mario and Pikachu Pokemon has been very popular since it came out and Mario is known worldwide by just about every gamer around. Certainly by every Nintendo fan
Any guy who still thinks Nintendo is a great system has gotta be cool. Ive been hearing alot about PS3 and X-Box 360. But when the Wii came out, all the PS2 and 3 players got a Wii and sometimes even switched favorite systems. Those Nintendo guyz still have the stuff if you ask me. Not that PS 3 and X box 360 arent cool.

Well, they don't buy them, but if they offer them X amount more of money than Y company then they can sure influence them. But since Miyamoto doesn't seem to care about the financial aspect of his job so much as the actual job itself, he can't be influenced by that.
