I think it is the preferred way to play VC titles now, I liked my bird...but this feels so good in the hands. Really comfortable, very responsive and the only way to play SMW I might add.
Well worth the $20, no question about it - get one if you can.

I like the layout of the GCN controller better. I don't like using the GCN controller for VC games of course, but overall I like the GCN controller better. The Classic Controller feels kind of light, and even though this is probably just a pet peeve of mine it gathers dirt like crazy with the white glossy paint... which is odd because the Wiimote doesn't gather dirt like that :?
I have a Classic Controller, and love it for VC games. It's a great controller. If the D-pad on the GC controller was better I probably wouldn't have gotten the Classic Controller but it just doesn't work for NES and Genesis games.
