Will you be getting MP3 at launch (POLL)?

I think the game looks great, but I won't be getting it until sometime next year. I've had MP2 for over a year and still haven't played it, and I just have so many games that I still have to play (probably 20, 15 GC, 5 Wii). By the time I'm ready to buy it hopefully I can find it for pretty cheap.

Does anybody else use the same strategy I use? I keep a large stock of games I haven't played so that I don't feel compelled to buy most games at launch (there are a few exceptions). Then I can buy them down the road when they are cheaper. I save a ton of money this way.

I'll buy it at launch. I'm starting to realize that you honestly don't have to play the second game in the series to have a full understanding of what's going on in the games. Metroid Prime gives you the basic outline of the story, and Metroid Prime 2 just expands upon it by adding in Dark Samus and more Phazon details. Metroid Prime 3, meanwhile, will conclude the storyline.

I think it will be a great game though. I wouldn't count on getting it at a lower price next year though, first party games usually take years to go down in price. I think SSBM is still priced at $30 right now.

I've changed my mind on what I said earlier, I'm not buying the game before a long time because I really want to play and finish MP2 before playing MP3.

Plus I don't have a Wii.

Sadly, I won't probably get it until the end of the year. I am working on Metroid Prime and I still have yet to get it MP2. It would seem werid not to play MP2 and then jumping into MP3:? For some reason, I am still having trouble with the storyline:(HyruleanLink

:lol: I'm sorry, I was in a bad mood last night (I couldn't get Madden.) Anyways, I still ready don't want this game, but I am going over my friend's house when I comes out and I'm going to test it out there. I'll see how it is after I'm gone playing it, the bottom line is that I'll probably end up getting it for Christmas along with Super Mario Galaxy.

Note I said "as stoked as I am." ;) MP3, unlike them (or so I get the impression), is on the absolute top of my list of must-have games. :P

Launch baby already preordered my copy from Amazon last week. Not much point though since I'll be traveling and away from my Wii till early October.

Ihateelvis has written all you need on his plot synopsis for the game. Believe me as someone whom has played and finished both he wrote all you need to know to play the latest one. This goes out to everyone worried about playing 3 before the other versions. Anyway if anyone needs any help pm me or elvis I'm sure he would also be glad to lend a hand with the story.

Thanks for the compliment, I'm glad to know that you think my synopses do the games justice. :D And yes, you were correct, I'd gladly help anybody fill in the blanks about the games (That is, as long as I can remember certain obscure details myself! :lol: )

To be honest, I don't normally play a game that much when I first get it. However, I've got a couple days off from work, and school doesn't start for me until September 4th, so I have some free time. :P

I don't blame you, when I first get a game I play it long ... I beat Bioshock in 2 days. When I get Halo 3 at the midnight premiere (I hope that I do,) I'm going get home probably at 12.30 or 1.00am and I'll play it until like 7.00 am and go to bed until 12.00 pm and Play it after I study for my Biology exam.

I'm still not very far into the game, I've beaten the first boss, and I'm about 1/3 of the way through the next area/level. So far, definitely a great game, my only gripe so far is that it is pretty easy and thus far pretty linear as well... however I'm expecting that to change once I actually land on a planet. Then the environmental puzzles and backtracking should start to kick in.REVOLUTIONfreak
