Nintendo released game update packs that you had to pay for.

What i'm talking here is about if nintendo released some new maps, features, modes etc for existing games. Much like what microsoft are doing.

But the reason i'm asking is that nintendo never really charge for anything (like online play and extra channels) and how would you feel if they released updates on the Wii Shop Channel and would you buy them.

It varies... just as it varies for me on downloadable content on XBL.  If I like the game enough, then of course I'll buy extra content (like Gears of War for example, but any other game like Oblivion I'd never buy updates for).  Some of the downloadable content though is actually free, and I think Nintendo is more willing to offer this kind of content free.

I agree. Say they released more characters for SSBB(which would be a GREAT idea). I'd pay for them right away, but if they added something stupid no way.

I picked the occasionally only cause I'm realistic, some games I would just pay for it no matter what. I am not against this kind of thing but after seeing XLM I have seen how greedy they get and how they never give good stuff to silver users. Extra content like maps deserves extra money but as I said they just get too greedy. Take GH2 that is called daylight robbery :D.

I agree, it depend what is it and it is doing for the game to make it better.

I definitely think it should be free, but if it's a matter of paying $10 to get 2 or 3 more dungeons for Twilight Princess, you can be sure I'd pay that $10.

No, you wouldn't pay for a patch on one of your PC games.

If you mean an expansion, than I would gladly pay but paying for something that should have been fixed in the first place just doesn't fly.

I think they should be free for the most part. Otherwise nintendo is going to be having the same thing going as Xbox live where developers release half-finished games and then put the rest of the features in as updates that you have to pay for.

No. The reason I like game consoles is because you pay one price and receive a full, completed game (at least, that's how it should be). I don't want my console to become a PC. I've already got one of those, I don't need another.

I might pay some money for some extra content for the right game, price, and content.
