IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- As you may be aware. The Numbers Round has been replaced by the "Hangman Bonus Round". So instead, this round will involve an 8 letter word which will be disclosed with only it's vowels intact. Participants will only be allowed to make word guesses.
- Countdown's original schedule was a total of 15 rounds per match. The FF Countdown version has been condensed to 7 per match consisting of 4 Letter rounds, 2 Bonus Hangman rounds and 1 Final Conundrum.
- Competition host will periodically update each round every 48 hours. A PM will be sent to both competing contestants as a reminder of when the round commences and the specific timezone of their deadline.
- Contestants will be required to select their letters in advance for the letters round. A PM will be sent a few days in advance for both contestants before the match officially starts. This is an absolute prerequisite so remember to respond.
- During every single match, a new thread will be opened. Strictly NO observers or any other participants are allowed to post any of their solutions in the topic thread. However you will be entitled to make guesses to the FF Anagram Teaser (See first post)
Final Fantasy Anagram Teaser (Optional)
USUALTIN = ?
Participants and observers can guess the 8 letter anagram while the match is in progress.
The current teaser will be carried onto later matches if remained unsolved.
A new anagram will be replaced once the solution is found.
No additional points are awarded. This is completely optional.

- You must now use each of these letters to form a Final Fantasy related term in order to score points.
- The competition host will send the two contestants a PM as a reminder. Both competitors answers must be PMed to the competition host in order to avoid conflict answers in the topic thread.
- Contestants will score points depending on the number of letters used E.g. 5 letter word = 5 points.
However, if you manage to discover a 9 letter word you score double. Thus 18 points is awarded.
- Each contestant may only submit 1 term each round! Once messaged you will not be allowed to submit another term whether it be longer or valid.
- Contestants will both score separate points if they submit a legitimate term no matter who finds the longest solution. Participants who fail to find a valid term before the deadline will score 0 points.
- When selecting letters, there must be a minimum of either 3 vowels or 4 consonants in each letters round.
