[QUOTE="wufang65"]To me is does not matter what people say about the game. I'm going to get no matter what. I may or may not like it but I will find out for myself.kinetic-core
One of the most sensible answers you can get... :) It's really all about personal enjoyment and experience. Okay, i did say that FFXII is absolutely remarkable! But, hey, that's me. If anyone, somehow, found the game crappy or is just pure rubbish, you can't carry an axe and threaten to chop me up for convincing you to play that game.
Honestly, the thing about FFXII is, things are said by two different groups of people. Honestly, at the professional [reviewers] point of view, this game is near perfection. Gameplay, AI, graphics, music, effects, story, difficulty, animation blah blah blah, they're of a high standard no one should hold any objections about. But, at the fans' point of view, this game is really not that good.
- Basically, this game may appear too difficult,
- and the gambits [which reviewers think is a great AI feature] just make the fans feel that they're not controlling the game as much as before,
- music-wise, some fans just dislike it because it's not the usual melodious nobuo-style-easy-to-hum kind of music. But, any John Williams' fans should be happy with the FFXII soundtrack.
You see, professionally, this game is just one of the best out there. But, fanboy-ly or fan-girl-ly, this game does not sound that good.
Well said. I'm a fan but I'm not to inpressed with the game as of yet. I have only played a demo and I'm hopping the game is better. Change is not always a good thing but sometimes you just have to give it a try/chance caues you just might like it.
