Yeah FFVII came out in 1997. I started back with VI, just barely 10 years ago. I can't really answer any question, but I can answer alot of them. I haven't played the first three FFs and I never played more than 10 hours of FFV, but I do have a pretty good amount of knowledge on the other games.
I started a little over a year ago when my uncle found ff7, ff origins, chrono cross, and some dreamcast games at the junkyard. He also found some DVDs such as family guy and spaceballs. I haven't played the dreamcast games yet because I don't have one. Chrono cross looked good but freezes on the first cut scene.
well although i have only played 7 onwards i have bee watching my brothr play FF since as long as i remember and im 15 so i'd say 10 years at least but 9 years of playing them.
did you know how i felt when my mom bought me ffix for my 2001 birthday( or was it 2002). i got two games from mom, forgotten what the other game was. looked at ffix. i had heard the name somewhere. looked on the back.

the usual yawner. anyway, i popped it in my ps1( dont laugh, i got a ps2 not long after). started new game, saw good graphic scene. im told to light a candle( interesting was my thoughts) then suddenly im attacked by some dragon headed person. then once i did that weird selecting thing, there chatting with him WTF. they go into that room and he kept saying the same thing( i didnt realise the select feature). so i thought this was where you put in disc 2. yes i was thick back then. after some time on the game, i really liked it and some mega ff fan who lived nearby leant me ffviii though i labled every ff game crap apart ix( i was young). though i liked viii in the end. so i got into ff. didnt really think of playing others after i played x.
