Is FFVIII more a Love Story ?

Hey Friends, I was thinking, first time I played FFVIII (my first FF) between other themes, I felt a big oriented-theme to the love between the characters Squall and Rinoa, even do FF series touches lot of facts, like friendship, ecology, magic and empires, this FF moves along the feelings of this two characters.

What do you think? is FFVIII more a love story than a story for saving the world :P? Or both of them..or other :?

jajaja.... lol...yip, Rinoa was somekind more intereted in Squall than in Ultimecia and all the things happening between the Gardens.

What to do with saving the world...?..Well , You could say you need love in order to save the world, but that will mean love-like friendship.:?...Im confusing me more :P

Yeah the whole game is about romance, Quistis wanted to have a relationship withSquall in the beginning of the game. Also it was hinted that Selphie and Irvine wanted to have a relationship. On Disc 3 Squall and Rinoa love for each other began to surface

Believe me, FFVIII is by all means one of the most linear stories there is compared to the rest of the titles. Your fully set on a route to go where ever the game takes you and you end up encountering alot of cut-scenes anyway.DreadDLordD

Final Fantasy X my friend? That is more linear and more cutscene packed than any others. And Final Fantasy VIII is still great, even if it seems linear.

In reality it isn't really, if you try and do everything. Weapons (stupid as it may be) take a while to find and create everything!

Do you think Quistsis wanted a relationship with Squall, I think she is older than him :P, maybe she wants to protect him, and has a more-moms love to him :P

Quistis is the same age as them all, maybe just a few months older, whislt she is 19(or 18) compared to their year younger equivalent.

And Final Fantasy 12 wasn't really linear, maybe in story, but not in areas that could be explored.
