Is it possible to know about all secrets without the use of an official guide??

I mean, for FFX-2, it was kinda easy, but still, not that easy. In FFX-2, everything was mission-based, and the map is so linear that secrets are easy to discover.

How bout the other FFs, i don't ever remember getting a secret revealed without a guide, or someone telling me. :lol:

It took me three tries to get the mascot dress spheres even with the guide. Theres no way I'd have watched the videos that your supposed to watch.

Then there was the dodging 100 lighting bolts for Lulus best weapon. Ofcourse the guide couldnt help me acctually dodge the bolts when I finally read about it. Naturally I got to 98, choked and never tried that again.

When you are about to face Hojo in FFVII there is this treasure box on one of the staircases, in order to get a like armor for Barrett out of the box, Barrett must be in your party, but if he is not then the box will contain something else. So what if you are a girl or a boy, sometimes you get really pissed off because of a game, and some secrets aren't that easy to do or find. And how much time are you going to spend in front of a game just to find all the secrets without a strategy guide? Seriously now.Sir-Dark-Raiden

Unless you get lucky, you can't really get all the secrets. Think about it; it's a secret because you don't know about it. If you missed it, how would you ever know?

I have the same experince on Final Fantasy IX. I first played it and basically uncovered the side quests like the chocobo hot and cold minigame as well as discovering ozma. I went very slowly on my second run, re-visiting every town and almost talking to all the people in a town screen which basically uncovers almost the secrets in Final Fantasy IX. ZhenDash
