SE would be nowhere without Final Fantasy?

Or rather, FF wouldn't have "survived" without the merger between Enix and Square. But, seriously, who is truly supporting the other?

Squeenix has probably made 29.7 million this fiscal year, due to the "unexpected" sales figures of FFVII: Advent Children and the Japanese FFXII. Who knows how much more can be generated from the FFXII in the West?

Sales figures of recent releases:

Final Fantasy III - NDS - 840.000
Valkyrie Profile 2 - PS2 - 420.000

Europe

Kingdom Hearts II - PS2 - 540.000
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King - PS2 - 410.000

i was really suprised looking at those figures because there are some really good games on there like kingdom hearts 2, dragon quest jouney of the cursed king are very but i do agree that SE would be nowhere without FF

Enix would still be kicking ass, but Square would not exist without FF. It was called Final Fantasy because it was intended to be tier final game. It wound up saving a company going bankrupt

Final Fantasy was their Final game, but guess not. But SE would be nowhere without FF, since they barley could pay for FF1, and now they can pay for what they want:P

They may have still put out games like they have now, but they probably wouldn't have even gotten anywhere as Squaresoft, without making Final Fantasy.

well every everthing has a good thing and a bad thing
becouse of all the money they have they lost the magic to make better FF!!!
really think about it they only want more money what you do now....lets make a sequel of this game and that game

hehe:P Yeah i guess so, but i did see that movie not so long ago again, and it ain't that bad. The Animation rocks! But it was a bummer for them:(

No. Square Picctures would still be here it it weren't for that movie. It was still a good movie. People just refuse to see it for what it is

No. Square Picctures would still be here it it weren't for that movie. It was still a good movie. People just refuse to see it for what it is

yeah but at least AC had the fan base to make sure it was a huge success, there was nothing really that interested me to Spirits Within. Square can really only do films where it can link to the games, so their fanbase can make sure of a success.
