Due to the recent news of Final Fantasy 13, and the possiblity of controlling a girl, and then with Final Fantasy 12, whoever you want to lead, should Final Fantasy at the start of the game give you a choice of the main characters gender, and each gender has a different story. To those who have played Star Ocean 2, will know that this is what makes this game unique in the fact that both main characters have a different storyline (small differences but differences that giv it good replay) and will keep you going for hours.
hmmm..... well XII like u did mension gives u the option of charecters like most FFs there is both male and females in your party so it doesnt really matter. but if u gettin like 1 man (or girl) parties then mmmm. sure why not it would be interestin. but diff story lines i would have to say no :( srry about that but.... just doesnt seem that interestin to me. if you do want my oppionion about diff story lines make what you do in the game affect what happens in the long run. example gives more choices at events and stuff. so u can wander off do other things when people give u quests and you dont do them u have to suffer take different paths and stuff u hear what im sayin?
Damn, I really want to play as that chick from the FFXIII trailer... TBH, I don't really care who I walk around as, as long as I can play who I want in battle.

What I mean is the main storyline stays the same, but with each character you find out some other things (not to do with main plot, just different background knowledge)
Amen! Agree with you mate! That would be good. The main thing would be there, but some small differences. Not sure how they would do it, but if they did i would smile and cheer for life...Amen!

And the part where you use Tifa in the game could be cut out of Clouds story for example and only put in Tifa. I kinda agree with you
