Square enix or Squaresoft?

Which do you prefer and do you think Squaresoft should come back?

Ya know, I think Square Enix is the best because of the CGI staff on FFXIII.

But Squaresoft has brung memories with FFXII-FFX.

So there's no competition.

ooooh... the bad times of the millenium. I was afraid i was seeing the last of FF at that time. :( I was thinking " wow, number 10 is a nice way to end Final Fantasy"

Thing is, Final Fantasy has changed because of the merger. A lot of cows were born thereafter. But, it would be entirely inpossible for SquareSoft to make a comeback alone. SSoft is financially stripped of this entity. Besides, if SSoft is to detached itself from SEnix and work alone again, it will never be the same without Enix's backing. Enix has the money, Square has the talent. That's what i think. Losing any one of them will just cause major problems to Square Enix itself.

Also, for everyone who doesn't know. Enix is the part of the company which creates the most popular game in Japan, the Dragon Quest series. For years, Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest fights for the top position in Japan. They [Square Soft and Enix ] became brothers, borned through rivalry i would say. :P

Dragon Quest VIII makes me wanna say square-enix, but xenogears makes me wanna say square-soft.

They are revolutioning the way RPGs are, they want to create a genre named Final Fantasy. I used to be a die-hard fan of Square, but know i realized that i loved Squaresoft but not SquareEnix.

Dragon Quest could make you say just ENIX too :D

The name Squaresoft just brings back so many great memories that it gets my vote

Final Fantasy is still created by the Square part of Squeenix. So, it doesn't really matter. All i know is that SE is stronger financially and is more "stable". High-quality games can only come out from this merger. So, i think it's for the best. ya.

On a side note, when we switched to game projects SquareEnix might have produced, Final Quest and Dragon Fantasy soon became our wonder.

E^2 sounds like there are two Enix-es. And there's only one Square. oh well, just me. Imagine having FQ and DF games. 2D + 3D graphics.
