i say this:in ff1 the characters age are 32 (aprox) in ff4,30.In ff6,24,in ff7,21,in ff8 i dont know cause i want buy a original so i dont have the ff8 ,in ff9 has 16 and other characters are 6!!!in ff12,vaan has 15.Kmon,in the next final fantasies the hero is a ten years boy??mmm...

first of all Vaan is 17 and everyone in FF8 is from 17-19, which is still young but...

i think they're just trying to get a younger audience involved with FF. or they maybe just want to show the growing process to create the "popular" factor like Cloud. but i do wish the main character would break the 21 age limit. i think they could do or get away with a lot more if they were older.

Kmon,how the hell vaan,only before the game starts(when he join with the others) fights with rats,a 16 year old boy can make a mega tornado or throws great balls of fire(pyroclasm)only fighting with fiends 3 maybe 4 weeks after he involved in the game.this isnt logic,i know its a final fantasy and anything can happen,but a 16 years old boy with 3 weeks of training throw a tornado from the body himself without magic(like aeroga),its rare.The same as penelo,i dont think she training before the game .

I didn't notice that, but now I do. The next one will be 12 years old.

SE makes young characters because most of the audience is young... they try to make characters relatable to thos who play it, and since most players are in the ages of 16-21 so they make their main characters on that age span. Also these games are very "pop-cultured", and that means young atractive people (with the exception of a few cool characters in every other game like Basch and Auron). So doesnt matter how much you complain... the youngsters are still gonna keep coming (look at both FFXIII, neither of them looks older than 21), so all were left to do is enjoy them ^^.

that is very true. most people that buy the FF's are around 16-20. they probably still keep the main characters around that age group but you can count on others to be around 25-30. take a look at Auron and Basch, theyre in their 30's and they are a couple of the most liked characters.

The one for hte GBA isn't anything like this game. It is vastly inferiorfs_metal

It pretty much lacked story. What little story it had was a rip off of The Neverending Story.fs_metal

I don't expect a game to rip off a childrens movie, especially a Final Fantasy game. Just because an RPG is handheld, it does not mean it has to have any less of a good story. Take Golden Sun for examplefs_metal
