*SPOILERS FOR FINAL FANTASY IX*
Surely I cannot be the only that noticed the strong resemblance between this trailer and a scene in Final Fantasy IX. On the third disk of Final Fantasy IX, as we all know, Zidane and the rest of the characters all visit the world of Terra. Once there, Zidane goes off alone and meets Garland who explains his past and who he is to him. This revelation kind of leaves him in a temporary dazed loner state. The scene following this is where the FF VS XIII trailer resembles FFIX. In it, Zidane is seen sitting on a throne in a room with a similar dark overtone to the one in the trailer. He is alone and is sitting in a similar position to the character in the trailer, though he is leaning on the other arm. That is the only difference. He is questioning himself much like the character in VS XIII appears to be question himself. Zidane gets up from his chair and begins a slow stride outside of the throne room, where he is confronted by the enemy. Again, this paralells the trailer. It is also where the trailer ends.
Did anyone else notice this? I wonder if it was meant to remind us of this scene from Final Fantasy IX or what. What do you think?
