geez...where to start....
FF7 was my favourite, great gameplay, great story, amazing graphics, and its my first FF game and I glad i got this one

FF8 was decent. Alot of enemys, improved yet ok battle system, and the bosses are hard at the fourth disc, made me stop playing (and with Quistist, Rinoa and Selphie at lv15-17 I beated a lv25-40 boss lol)

FFTA is a portable yet very fun

FFX-2 its ok

When I was like 8 I moved from Indiana to Kentucky but I had made a friend and then subsequently our families in general became friends and we would come back at least once a year and visit them and vice versa. So along come the winter 1994, I am 12 and I just got my SNES for Christmas, but my friends had one already so they actually got games, one of which was Final Fantasy III (better known as VI in Japan) and when I came over just watching them play it made me want to play it, I however was denied that chance for another whole year until we went back and they had lost interest in it after playing through it and now have Chrono Trigger instead so I asked to borrow it, and I still have that copy to this day. I have been hooked ever since.

It would be an accidental approach that made me come together with FF... I bought a PS2 and some salesman cheated me and said FFVII is a PS2 game. And, he made me buy FFVII as part of the PS2 package [PS2 + 1 controller + 3 PS2 Games]. But, still, i'm glad that salesperson cheated me. lol... :D

I got into the series when me and my bro were looking in a ps2 magazine for games to buy for the playstation, he spotted Final Fantasy VII and noticed that it had an excellent review, so we went to our local games shop and spotted it there in the used section, we checked the storyline out on the back of the case, and it appealed to us, so my brother handed over his cash and the rest as they say is history. I have got all of the Final Fantasys from 1 right up to number 11 (on pc) and can`t wait for FFXII, especailly since the one person who has got it (Kenetic Core) keeps on saying that its brilliant, so the signs are good :)

Well growing up in the Atari era, all the games were mostly eye hand coordinated. Same with the NES when it first came out. Then FF was born & I wanted a game where I can use strategy & think & not rush doing it. I was hooked!! Been a fan ever since. In fact I'm playing FFIV Advance on my gameboy!! Awesome!!!

I've been gaming since Pong came out in the '70s and had the Secret of Evermore on SNES like 10 years ago had never gotten Final Fantasy for some reason. had too many FPS and strategy games. Then one Christmas a couple of years ago I got both FF VII ,FF VIII , and FF X brand new for presents for my niece because I new she played RPGs all the time and was good at them. I called my sister to find out if she already had any so I'd know which to give her or save for birthday present. Turns out she doesn't play Final Fantasy games and wasn't interested in anything but Kingdom Hearts for Christmas. I ended up with 3 FF games that no one wanted, my other nieces were either too young or not interested in games so by March I was alternating between FF VII and VIII and before summer of   last year I had added FF X and it was only a month ago that I got X-2.

Hmm, this make remember. 10 years ago is my first encounter with PS. I play a couple of games. Then a friend of mine say that FF VIII is the best game at that moment and i try that. After this my affection to RPGs got bigger. I also tried FF VII, IX, X, X-2. Right now im playing FF XII.

For me it was Mario Hoops.

I know that sounds strange but if it wasn't for that I would never have gotten FF 3 and started to play Final Fantasy games. Now 2 years later Final Fantasy is one of the only series I play.

Saw a kid play FFVIII when I was younger and didn't think much of it at first glance. Then met a kid on the bus (elemtary school) and he was all into the series. He spread the love and I'm still a fan, though not as big as I was in the past.

Read a few PS1 gaming mags and they were all raving about a game called Final Fantasy VII! Both me and my brother had no idea what it was about until i saw a man playing it in a shop one day after the release. I picked up a copy, and havent looked back since!

Back in 1998, a friend told me about FFVII and how amazing it was. I was interested, but never got around to checking it out.

Then in 1999, I saw a commercial for FFVIII and decided to rent it. It was a week long rental. I got home and popped it in and was very impressed by the production values. I played a couple hours and just didn't quite get the gist of it. I was working alot that week so I barely got to play it anymore and had to return it. It was interesting, but I just didn't put in the time to get hooked on it:(

Then in 2006?, a friend told me about Advent Children. I watched a trailer and was blown away by the visuals so I rented the DVD. I totally loved it! Even though it was obvious there was a lot of backstory which obviously is from the game. Wanting to experience the whole story, I bought FFVII and played it all the way through. It was seriously one of the most amazing games and stories I'd ever experienced. I was kinda sad when it ended:(

The rest is history!

My dad's boss invited him to play the demo of FFXI. I had always liked watching him play it. Then when the demo was over, about 3 or 4 months later he got it for his birthday. So I watched him play the game again. Soon, I said how I wanted to have a character on the game, and he was undecided. So, about a month or 2 later, my mom got a character on his account. I asked why I didn't get one, since I asked waaaay before she did. So my dad gave me an account. And every since then, I've looked up on every final fantasy game. Every square enix game really. I even found out the name of the person who composed the music on most final fantasies (Nobuo Uematsu). Now I have Chocobo Tales, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates, A level 60 White Mage on FFXI *wink*, I've figured out a couple of Final Fantasy songs on my guitar and keyboard, and I even have an emulator on my computer for FF3 snes. So yea, that's my long explanation of how I got into Final Fantasy.

I remember in 1990 owning an NES(still have and it is hooked up to a TV).Final Fantasy was released for it and to me it was no big deal.IT WAS HOWEVER, a big deal to Nintendo Power and the other gaming mags of the days.So much so that I went out a bought a copy.

It was great. No strategy guides existed for it at the time.Whe the same games were released for the PSX there were strat. guides. To win the gane you had to use your wits and fighting abilities. There were very few hard choices that had to be made in the game.

Dragon Warrior gave the game competition but the games were still different in style.

The ganeplay, the storyline and way the series evoled (except for FF XI) was what got me in the gane and was also the reason I stayed.

As The Greatful Dead said "What a long, strange trip it's been!"
