Well what got you into the Final Fantasy Series?
Please Explain.
when i got my ps1 i started getting the official mag every month and i had never come across rpg's or ff games before and then there was all this hype about FF7 and people in japan were camping outside stores to get a copy. the more i heard about the game the more it sounded like something i would be into so i got the game when it came out and have not looked back since
It was FFVII. Then I went back and played IV and VI.DrAwesomeMDAnd discovered how muc hbetter the ywere?

I figured as muchI read a test about FInal Fantasy X, and I knew I had to play it, after that, I started playing other FF's in ramdom order
For me it was Mario Hoops.
I know that sounds strange but if it wasn't for that I would never have gotten FF 3 and started to play Final Fantasy games. Now 2 years later Final Fantasy is one of the only series I play.
For me it was the story of each Final Fantasy.
The first ever Final Fantasy game i played was either FFVIII or FFIX and thoes were really good.
Back in 1998, a friend told me about FFVII and how amazing it was. I was interested, but never got around to checking it out.
Then in 1999, I saw a commercial for FFVIII and decided to rent it. It was a week long rental. I got home and popped it in and was very impressed by the production values. I played a couple hours and just didn't quite get the gist of it. I was working alot that week so I barely got to play it anymore and had to return it. It was interesting, but I just didn't put in the time to get hooked on it:(
Then in 2006?, a friend told me about Advent Children. I watched a trailer and was blown away by the visuals so I rented the DVD. I totally loved it! Even though it was obvious there was a lot of backstory which obviously is from the game. Wanting to experience the whole story, I bought FFVII and played it all the way through. It was seriously one of the most amazing games and stories I'd ever experienced. I was kinda sad when it ended:(
The rest is history!
I remember in 1990 owning an NES(still have and it is hooked up to a TV).Final Fantasy was released for it and to me it was no big deal.IT WAS HOWEVER, a big deal to Nintendo Power and the other gaming mags of the days.So much so that I went out a bought a copy.
It was great. No strategy guides existed for it at the time.Whe the same games were released for the PSX there were strat. guides. To win the gane you had to use your wits and fighting abilities. There were very few hard choices that had to be made in the game.
Dragon Warrior gave the game competition but the games were still different in style.
The ganeplay, the storyline and way the series evoled (except for FF XI) was what got me in the gane and was also the reason I stayed.
As The Greatful Dead said "What a long, strange trip it's been!"
