Hmm...depends on the game. On FFX, most of it will go on new weapons. On my current save of FFIX, I havn't spent any gil yet, though I often run out of potions :roll:
I do not ever buy weapons unless I REALLY do have A LOT of gil to spare in order to buy weapons. I just always use the weapons I find because half the time they are better than what you can buy. My weapon in X I have not found one in shops better yet. So I usually just spend it on potions and the necessaries.
In the older FF games, I would spend it on Potions, but in the newer ones I spend it on Magic. I mainly use the weapons/armour that I find instead of buying them.
I always buy a lot of potions and pheonix downs. When I finished FFVII I had like about 90 potions and 98 pheonix downs, but I rarely use them since I have Magic. And I also spend my gil on weapons.
i always end up having 99 of each healing item [potion, remedies, phoenix downs, antidotes, etc..] that i can buy:? say i'm afraid of death.... :P It was not easy to get 99 of each in FFXII, due to lack of gil, and that was the kind of FF that really got me, and there was this uncomfortable feeling of not owning 99 of each item throughout my FFXII experience... :roll:
come to think of it, yeah. I didn't really need to spend anything on the healing items and weapons and other equipment. The monsters just drop drop drop as if everything were free [ok, everything's free]. As for weapons, we can just try to get all those legendary weapons after all. Why bother :P
Like kinetic-core, I'll end up having 99 of each item, but that only happens when I have so much gil I don't know what to do with it all.DbleBassDrummer
yes, and this always happen as you approach the end of the game. Maybe a little "shop" at the end of the game would have to be unlocked, and we get treated to all sorts of goodies. Like in new game plus, we use the gil we had before, and bought movie and music spheres, for FFX-2.
