When will the FF series end?

Final Fantasy has been alive for 20 years now, and seems to have no end in sight. With the series steady decline, do you think Square will ever end the series or will it remain alive for a lifetime?

People always run out of ideas soon enough. But, the company won't run out of people ready to put in their ideas for FF.

So, i'm ready to say, FF won't end, not ever.

It's like a prestige, to some young Japanese. They work hard to get a job in prestigious game companies so that they can be part of a great game production. As long as FF lives, there are people like this around. And when these people make it, people will buy it.

Exploitation of capitalism... in fact, is the best way to make FF survive. And they're doing it perfectly well.

Agree, plus FF is a serie, whom story takes place most of the times in different worlds, with differernt characters and some times different concepts (even tough there are some similarities). This is a strong poitn to the series which opens the possiility of reinventing the serie again, and again.

I admit thy could be a end, if we are serious, but as long as there are new stories, and as long as there is technology to improve the games, there might be a Final Fantasy, and well... as long as the company understand that the important part in a bussines, being capitalistis, socialistic or neoliberal is not only earning revenues but satisfacting the video gamers interest....

Well, its a possiblity, but thats why every compsny hire new employees, with fresh mind and withe new ideas and well..fantasies...I hope th epoint of "no new ideas " still be far to reach thoug :(

give it awhile. plenty of people have their own Final Fantasy. and with a total population of over 6 billion (i think). thats a lot of final fantasies.AlBeadFFx

Yes, but then the sun burns out and crashes into Earth, and FF and the new species end up not being the only things to end. :(
