I was wondering, who actually uses a walkthrough the first time they play a game? I guess people use it the second time they play the game, but what is the point using it the first time you play it!? Is that so much fun? Don't you miss all the fun you get from playing and trying to solve things on you own!?
eh i use a walthrough second time round....but some people like to use it firs time round so that they can get 100% of the game as they don like to replay games.......
I understand they want 100% and all, but what happends with the fun to do all the things yourself!? No fun to buy a game to only play it fast with a walkthough once!
The kids that don't understand everything i guess...But most walkthroughs are free and easy to find on GS:lol: But what happens with the fun and joy of finaly understanding the game!
Your forgetting that walkthroughs just give you a path to get through the game and doesn't tell you the plotline. I admit, first time I played FFX-2 I used a walkthrough, due to the amount of extra stuff there was to do. And when FF8 came out, i Got it for xmas, I got given the walkthrough aswell. Didn't touch it till second play through though. When I was buying FF12, I seen the walkthrough for it, and it is massive! It is a hardback!! :O
I use them for the second playthrough and the first one when I get stuck on something obvious but can't work it out. I never buy them though just go on GameFAQs.
well i only do have 1 guide and i got it cuz im a fan! ff 12 collectors guide!! and it tells you every little detail! i didnt really use it -_- but still it tells you how many times you can steal from a boss if its a special. if you should have a quikening and when you should have it! every monster in the game.... you get the point?

seriously.... FF is one of THOSE games that need a walkthrough in order for us to get things. Especially puzzles and secret items. I mean... geez.. who knows how to use the airship code to get to Auron's masamune without a guide :shock: As for story event-based battles, i don't think we need a guide though. I usually get through the first time for the story, and nothing seems too difficult. It's the secret things that are really crazily difficult to figure out.

myself and my brother made a walkthrough collection for the playstation ones i dont need one for 7 though i played so many times i remember pretty much everything plus i only got the ff7 one last year :P
I used one for Final Fantasy I first time around, there was no lead off, no plot to indicate where you were going.... after reading the walkthrough for that part it says i need to go to the other side of the world and use some item to call something!! There was nothing that could tell you to do that, I talked to a lot people etc. It hasnt even come to mind with XII as the plot and story keeps everything going :P Oh yeah and how would you know you had to do all that stuff for the ultimate weapons on FFX. Or gettting Magnus Sisters or Anima ? I guess thats why they produce walkthroughs

Yeah walkthroughs arent exactly bad... and yeah noobs cheat, or get something else ot cheat for them :P like when people create bots to train for them on online games

I'm telling you! The pros use that more! The noobs are the one they always ban! I promis you! My friends played WoW, haha! They talked over MSN with their guild and they were hard core players and they all used boots every nights and complained about the noobs using boots all the other time:lol:
So the pros use A LOT extra help, but not cheats that makes you better in two seconds...

Just to make it easier, but some i do not like at all..Like the healbot, it's no skills with the healing at all:(

Of course, but most of the time I don't use walkthroughs only if I'm really stuck in FF, but other games yeah. :lol: I don't wanna sound like I'm that good cuz I'm not.
