For me, the story was not as enjoyable as other FF stories.Darmiagreed, and vayne was kind of a lame villian in my opinion.
For me the problem was the characters, I didnt enjoy the game cause of the lack of deep feeling that they hadangelblesstottaly agreed even FFIX characters were better than that
something cool? Like getting killed by some dude with a hellish long sword?kinetic-coreyep,you pretty much took the words out of my mouth kc.
right.... apparently, having a nice hairstyle makes characters cool too.
Judge Drace i think. Can't remember too. You see, that's the whole point, it's kinda hard to remember politics. And i think it was brutal to Gabranth instead. I don't think he wanted to kill her, but he wanted to protect Larsa, indeed.
who has long hair, a leather jacket and a harley davidson? Although that'd be cool, in some waykinetic-coreno one in particular in the ff universe but ff7 characters come close with the overdone leather look.well i think sephiroth and genesis is the only ppl with leather on.but cloud has a motorcycle with 7 blades in one blade so thats cool in my opinion.
too linear the only other thing you could do was hunt which was basically boss fights when you felt like it i thought it could have had more side storiesSTK3000hmmm....yeah, but then again I think Square kinda focused on the story for this one, cuz it was a little complex, the whole political side of it I think...
story-wise, it wasn't really linear, there are things you don't expect that happen, and the politics just make things harder to understand, which is probably not liked by younger players.
Well now, it couldn't be more linear than FFX can it?
Nothing could ever be more linear than FFX.story-wise, it wasn't really linear, there are things you don't expect that happen, and the politics just make things harder to understand, which is probably not liked by younger players.

kinetic-core
I don't know why sop many people have trouble understanding the story. I mean, it's more mature, but that doesn't make it harder to comprehend

True, True...
I understand the story, I just don't like it.Darmiyeah me ether its an ok story but ffx story blew it out the water in my eyes.
Well, it's the story for me. I'm not a huge fan of politics at all, and sometimes the story got a little confusing to me, and the fact that I turned off subtitles and had a hard time understanding characters sometimes didn't help. What made me enjoy FFXII was all the side quests you could do, really.DJ-LafleurYeah, play through it again with the sub-titles, it makes it way more understandable, literally...

I'm sure it would help, but I don't feel like playing it again.
you two better control yourself better, here's the first caution.
I'd say it takes ANYONE to understand FFXII's story, but to really go into it and watch every single move and understand every single story event which leads to another, it takes another type of mind to comprehend this. I'm sure fs is the latter, since he's standing by FFXII's story so strongly. I am, too. In fact, it may not be the best, but it definitely ranks high up there in political storylines.
Just that, it's not really very enjoyable. I can play anything before FFXII over and over although the stories are expected and simple. But, there's the simple beauty in games with stories like them. Simple, yet enjoyable stories. FFXII, complicated, and necessary for a few play throughs tointerpret every part of the storyit fully.
ok well i agree that the FFX story was one of the bests and i admit that some parts of FFX made my eyes watery and not only if the story makes u cry is good but u have to undertsnad the story if you dont unerstand the story than its bad and if u dont understand the concept with Sin and Jecht and the switching of time periods its alos less intressting i say FFX is the number one story of any FF in MY OPINION !!! and alos yes i love star wars
Well, some games I'll play over again, others I won't. For me it depends more on the gameplay than stories when it comes to another playthrough. A story is usually the same thing in a game no matter how many times you play it, while in gameplay you can usually do many different things to power your characters and many fun ways to strengthen your party. If the gameplay is fun enough, I'll give it another playthrough, basically.DJ-LafleurYeah I always go through a second time with a strategy guide and pick up all the stuff I missed and make my guys super powerful

Well, I basically did mostly all side stuff in XII my first playthrough, so I don't have much reason to start XII now.
yes, and for the first time, an NPC with a not-too-big role became my fav char in FFXII - Gabranthkinetic-core
