E3 2013 Discussion Thread

This year, the Electronic Entertainment Expo will be one of the most important to date. Not only will we see many new game announcements, we'll also see the next generation of consoles in more detail than ever before. Both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are expected to do battle! But Nintendo have surprisingly decided to cancel their conference, making this the first time I know of that Nintendo has taken a break since their first appearance in E3.

E3 is scheduled to take place June 11th, and again TGP is the place to be for discussing all the days of this event. But for now, we still have a few days left of waiting, so let's discuss what games you want to see at E3 and what you're most excited for.

Bungie taking Halo back and announcing it as a ps4 exclusive! (a kman can dream can't he? :P )

PS 4 better have a party system like xbox 360 has. I just found out that Ps3 apparently doesn't have that. It looks like we know who won last gen's console war now.

Destiny is going on every console, but Bungie said they'd have exclusive content for Playstation users.

No I don't plan on buying a PS3(unless it gets extremely cheap), but I might get a PS4. I just want to see what Microsoft is putting on the table and if it's worth eating yet :P

You should really get a PS3 one day... It has so many good exclusives.:P

I'll probably get a 360 eventually for Forza and Halo... And maybe Gears, and Alan Wake.

But you can't even speak to your friends on it. Sure if you don't have internet or friends, I guess PS3 would be better but This lack of party chat thing has really made the PS3 a lot worse in my eyes. You guys had me thinking it had everything xbox had and more. Now it turns out you only have a fancy disc reader and Uncharted.

That was a pretty big detail you guys left out in the system wars thread. It would definitely be worth mentioning :x 

I think you can talk to friends on it though.:? Either way though, no way that makes the Xbox better. They both have flaws and positives, but a party system doesn't make a console automatically win.

Also, PS3 doesn't just have Uncharted. It has MGS4, InFamous, Gran Turismo, Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, God of War... You get the idea.:P

So it has only Uncharted. Got it! :D

I think the party system makes a big difference. I always saw them as equal with maybe the PS3 having a slight advantage, but this is big enough to throw xbox on top. Apparently you can only have one on one conversations on PS or you have to be in the same game.

I actually don't know if that's completely true, i might be overreacting :P 

What's up with the, "Only Uncharted," thing?:P I thought you were interested in many games on the system.

Anyway, you're probably right. Xbox probably has the edge when it comes to online play, but then we have the argument of whether or not it's worth the subscription. You probably will say yes, but I think I would say no. Both consoles are good though, and one day I hope to own both of them so I can play all the exclusives.

Well it doesn't change the fact that I would rather have MGS4 than all Xbox's exclusives.:P

Why doesn't Activision have a show? They have WoW, Diablo, COD, now Destiny, Deadpool and probably other gamesThe_Last_Ride

My guess would be because the company is run by money hungry penny pinchers. Their thinking is probably if COD can sell millions with no show then why spend the money on one ? Also Diablo and WOW do have a show, BlizzCon.

I want to see Dark Souls 2. I can't wait to try out all those new features that will punish me some more.:|bugbag

At E3 I'm not sure. Overall by the end of the generation I would say PC and if you mean between Wii U, Xbone and PS4 I would say PS4.

If Nintendo would reach out more to third party developers for once in their lives they could change that.

 5 and 6 are already confirmed and MS also bought the domain or IPs or whatever it's called for 7-9 so... :P

I think MS will do poorly this genertion. The Wii U is severely underrated. I hope it beats the xbone. MS needs to learn its lesson.

The Wii U is a great console, my only complaint are the games. Not enough third party support.
