[Decision Time] Nightmare is going resign as leader

As you know. Old Man is resigning as leader. He will post his reason after my post. What I need the recruits to do is decide what's good for new generation of Gotei 13 Union. Here are the choices

6th Squad Captain as Na-chan (as Byakuya Kuchiki)
Hitsugaya as Nightmare

sfkm2- Zero Squad Captain or Central 46 Captain / Leader (as Kisuke Urahara)

If there are more choices you can think of. Pick it and pick your reasons why. The factor is who will be the next Leader of the Gotei 13 Union.

I'm sorry it kinda shock..

My main reason as resign as leader I lost interset in bleach. but I do still read.. so you seem lack mine active and not doing my duty much really.. while you guys doing hard works for Gotei and did amazing thing for this union I love you guys, thanks you so much :) just that it not fair for me to take all the credits. so whoever going be next leader I'm sure this person 'll work hard than I do :lol: but Gotei 13 is always in my heart no matter what. I 'll stay as normal caption and post once a day something like that :) ofc I 'll still here to help you guys out!

Old man has been trying to find a nice way to do this for a while, but he's only just now found 3 ways it can be done and not be harmful to union or, hopefully, not upset too many people.

If I got lead in one of the two options, know this: I would run it the exact same way old man did, or as close as possible. Infact, he'd continue to act as advisor, I'd just take the brunt of it for him. :)

Gonna feel weird without Nightmare as Leader, but seeing as how its his decision, gotta respect it.

Ok, to make this more blunt, since this is leaving it hanging in the air:

Old man, question, answer one or other: Do you want to take yoruichi's 4th option off the table, or leave it on as a possibility?

Hmmm honestly I recognize both Daorack and Sfkm as capable people and I would definitely approve of either of them being our Leader. Either way Gotei will run more or less like before although I'm sure it's possible that we see new things happen.

As for the Zero Squad idea whatever Captain spot that is left open should be agreed upon by the Captain's. That aside I have no problem with Na-chan becoming a Captain. If it already has been and they decided Sis that's perfectly fine with me. We'll also need Lieutenants for the Zero and Sixth Squad. It also might bring up debate issues over our policy of not having more than 13 Officers. That aside someone may bring up the concept of bringing the Kido Corps back which I'm sure will either be rejected or dealt with accordingly.

As for the revised fourth version I can understand the concept of switching the tags. I don't have a personal issue with this I think it can work fine in and of itself. However we can't exactly impose that on Nightmare if he feels otherwise. Ya can't make a horse drink water if it isn't thirsty.

If there's anything else that I think of I'll bring it up.

Well, I'm cool with it either way, as long as gotei is not harmed and there is not a problem with something.

nightmare wants to drop old man character, therefore, I agree with ebbon: dont force him.

If kisuke ends up the next leader, thats cool to. :) I'm not power hungry: I'm just saying I'm willing to do it for them if that is what is decided.

"Rank is a responsibility, not a power." all three of us have, as far as I have ever seen, always acted this way. So it really does not matter to me as long as everyone is happy with it.

Well, seeing as we'r still discussing ideas and thoughts, I think we should leave this up for a few days at least.

That said, I think we should get ahold of every captain we can and actively show them this thread and get their thoughts.

I concur with what Ebbon said regarding who the best 2 captains are for the leader position here at Gotei 13. 

It wouldn't bother me really if Old Man...

... choose to be a different character and stay as a regular captain here. 

As far as the idea that Yoruichi mentioned, that is also plausable, but Old Man has to agree to it, meaning that he has to want to remain Yamamoto by choice.  We know that he wants to be a captain so that's not the issue at all :) 

Nothing against Na-chan, but tbh I think she really isn't a good candidate for a captain spot, I think that she should stay at 6th Squad Lt. because that's more her speed as far as responsibility level goes. She's a great young lady and a good friend whom I love to death and my Little Sis.

Kido Squad Captain went MIA on us. After that happen, everything fail. 

Through all my time randomly popping in here, I also saw sfk, and always saw him doing stuff for this place. I'd have to agree with the above.

No offense to anyone else. You all do a fine job, and helpedmake this place successful.

Okay well here's why I brought up the extra squads.

Zero Squad is going to be a HUGE thing. It's ranked and I'm certain more and more light is going to be shed on it. When that happens there's going to be an explosion of debate about it. Depending on how in-depth it is we will have quite a choice to make. Do we add Zero Squad or chuck it out and keep to that tradition?

Well in that case we could set up a Zero Squad thread and build it up, regardless of how things turn out. It's purely circumstantial and we can't jump the gun on it and say that either yes is the right/wrong answer. It's a middle ground and if the Zero Squad doesn't kick off then it can become another debate thread that garners more post and maybe activity. If it does, however, then we can be very much prepared for it.

That's where Kido Squad comes in, because IF Zero Squad comes in then it might open up that debate. I'm covering the bases because only three people commented on the first idea and it doesn't seem like it's going to happen at least immediately. In that case again we can at least keep it on the Gotei work bench.

Personally between Options 2 and 3 I can't choose between them so I can't cast a vote. Both Dao and Sfkm are qualified and talented in my opinion. Either way I see Gotei flourishing as it has been and will be. We will persevere.

I voted and it was a choice between #2 and #3... that's all I'm going to say.  

I still observe from time to time, but from what I have seen throughout my time here, I believe sfkm would be the best option. Everyone has good points, mind you, but I'm basing my opinion off what I know~

Throughout my 3 years in this union, nightmare has always been there. ive called him old man ever since july 22nd, 2008. man ill miss that.

Anyway my decison is that skfm2 becomes leader. not that i dont like daorack but honestly skfm has the most experience, activity and leadership abilitys to become leader.

Not being biased or anything here... as I think that both sfkm2 and Daorack would make a great leader for our beloved union... but just because Daorack wasn't here from the beginning of the union doesn't mean he has less experience in leadership.   

Hold the phone there, Uss. We can't assume anything just based on that.

For example even if you don't see a certain person around doesn't mean they aren't there and doing their job. The lurkers peek in and out all the time but nonetheless they're often enough watching rather than acting.

Dao's the captain of the 10th Squad and in Gotei that means he tries to maintain peace and order. And he does lurk lol otherwise it'd be so easy to miss anything that would go off if I ever turned away. I know that's what I would do and in all honesty I have done since I started here.

As for leadership abilities yes Kisuke is charismatic in his way but again Dao's job REQUIRES that he can give orders and lead others in doing the job that Squad 10 does. As for experience sure that's a major factor but we don't know everything about Dao just like we don't know everything about Sfkm2. They both have potential and skill that makes either of them suited and invaluable.

Likewise Sfkm2 is the Second-in-Command which requires him to be on task and ever-present and be able to compliment Nightmare or any other leader as well as make up for their absence pending he isn't the leader. Plus yes with all of the work he's done he sure has been glue in Gotei's hard-back binding but let's not forget that again there wouldn't be any point if there wasn't a reason Dao was chosen too.

Hard to say, so yeah the leader tag will switch over to either sfkm or daorack. Both seem equally qualified to me.

well should I stay as leader since I 'll still active as caption.. what point for me step down really. meh I 'll step down when I'm not active anymore.. seem like noting will change if I step down as leader and they still see me as founder.. :| I think I'm getting what sfkm2 is trying to say.Nightmare-_-
