Background: Corvo grew up with a somewhat difficult life. He was not poor, but not quite to the next level either. As a kid, he loved to run. None of his friends were able to beat him. Not only was he fast, he could endure it for a long time. There was no catching him. He could never really sleep, so at night he ran to try and get tired. He would do this for about a week and then finally get a few hours of sleep, and then start all over again.

Data: Mikazuki stands about 6'06" and weighs about 200lbs. He refuses to wear the standard shiori, instead wearing a black accouterment of gloves, mouth mask, combat boots, pants, a sleeveless shirt and a strange, long-sleeved fiber mesh shirt over it. Over all that Mikazuki wears a strange cloak-coat. He always carries Kurayami around or hangs it from his shoulder if he is not active. He is a very subtle in demeanor and practice. However, Mikazuki does not hesitate to express his opinion or speak out if he feels the need to. Most curiously, his body is double-jointed.

Background: Mikazuki belongs to a once secret clan of Shinigami, the Inoyaiba Clan ("-- Sword"). The clan name's entire meaning is known only to those of the clan, many of which have been presumed to be dead. The few known survivors are Mikazuki, his twin sister Naomi, and their cousin Saiyoko. The Inoyaiba Clan is notorious for its work in dealing with Hollows, and had their own garrison as well, the Kontengoku ("Soul Wardens"). Rumors also lead many to believe they are a clan of assassins and spies as well. It was this that most likely highlighted them for the first covert attack by that which they hunted eleven years ago.

Mikazuki went missing ten years ago, and returned a while back with a strange case of amnesia. Having recovered partially from it, he has noticed many changes in himself. If he knows the cause, source, or both...he isn't saying anything concerning them yet. The only odd indication being the materialization of a dark anathema over his face, obscuring it and somehow distorting his demeanor. It's this that affects his idea of himself and his decisions.
