I just watched it on G4 and they were having a top 10 boss fight competition. I'll put the results.

7. Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear Solid.

5. Ozma from Final Fantasy VI.

How the hell is Metroid Prime before Ganon? I mean although Metroid Prime is cool and powerful, it is just a creature. Ganon is an evil being bent on destroying the world and turning it into his own twisted kingdom. Metroid Prime is a mere metroid that has taken in too much Phazon energy and so has become what we know it as now. I agree tho that Sephiroth is the greatest villain of all time.

I like both Ganondorf/Ganon and Metroid Prime, Metroid and Zelda are my two favorite franchises, so I really can't complain about the list.

G4 is crap. Metroid Prime over Ridley for Metroid boss. Elma from Ninja Gaiden number 2. Ganon number 4???!!!!!?? I agree with number one but the others are crap.

That would mean that a lot of people found Sephiroth to be hard. I personally thought he was quite easy, since I had every summon and all my characters were lvl 90 + .
