I'm really getting sick of the ocean in Wind Waker. It takes forever to get from island to island, and none of the islands are big, they are all so small and you can see the ocean from almost everywhere! You can hear it from almost everywhere! Hah, in Hyrule, if you look up, there's the ocean! Plus, why are all of the islands so small? There isn't in island in the game that looks like it's even a mile across! Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the world of Wind Waker, but when Twilight Princess comes out, I'll be happy to put my feet back on dry land!

It didn't bother me much at first, but it started to irk me when I was looking for the Triforce. Plus, the thing with pirates on Windfall island and then sailing to Outset Island seems way to time consuming now.

Just remember though, I myself am not an ocean lover, and I cannot swim, so don't let my opinion bother you!

There is dry land on the islands. :P I liked listening to the music on the ocean in the daytime. The thunderstorms are cool too. Don't you have that song that summoned a cyclone?

Without the sailing, the game would be like 2 hours long.

I have the song that summons the cyclone, but it still takes forever! By the way, about the dry land thing, I know there is dry land on the islands!

Well, I suppouse I have to agree that the sailing was tedious and didn't create the most thrilling gameplay and I like the setting in TP more than WW but, it wasn't that bad.

It takes roughly 5 minutes to get from one side of the map to the other. There are 7 squares to travel across in such a route. That's less than a minute a square.

Some people liked the whole ocean concept, some people liked being on nothing but dry land. Why couldn't they make it kinda like Majora's Mask, except when you get to the ocean, you can have a boat of your own to sail to far off islands? And at the same time have a majority of your quests on dry land. Instead of getting on a turtle and appear at the the temple, use a boat, and have it much further away with pirates and enemies on the way there. Something like that.

My favorite part of sailing would have to be the cannon. I love that cannon! If something gets in my way, BOOM! If I see something move, BOOM! Good times, good times.

You know what I meant. Of course there were islands...small, dinky islands with little to no incentive or even possibility to explore. Which makes sailing crap in turn.

There was a treasure on or near every single island.

Me neither, but its true that the islands are too small. Look at windfall island for example.
It's supposed to be the island that most people live on, and it's only like 8 houses on the entire island.
If the island where bigger then I would like it even more.

Of course not all islands have to be 1 mile long but some of them should be.

I like the sea...but it just would have been better if all that sailing around had a decent reward. To me, there would have been nothing more exciting than sailing to an island you just spotted and then exploring a cave for a half hour.

well the islands with dungeons either went up to the top of the island or down into the island. So instead of having a long piece of land to manuver through they had us move up or down on the smaller islands. Plus with the sailing you could go out to find the Giant Octoroks or the Submarines or the many treasures out in the ocean.
