The guy behind Link might be Ganon, as he was already confirmed in the game.

My guess is Zelda in disguise or maybe someone else but, it's definitly a girl.natiko

Both Link, and the hooded persons nose look relatively similar therefor I think it's quite possible it could be a man :P

Well, I just received that issue yesterday and I've read the whole article on it MANY times over. I think that the front cover is awesome, but does raise a few questions. And I'm not sure if any of you read this... but when EGM was interviewing the person they brought that exact question up. This is how he replied.

EGM: And that shadowy figure on our cover with his or her back to Link?

EA: Very sorry, but we'd like to keep it secret. People can take your cover as a big mystery. We're not sure when we want to break that information- maybe [at the next E3 show] in May or maybe not. As a hint, you can also see a kind of castle in the background scenery...

Yeah i first suggeted the dark world theroy on another topic but i just came up with that, so its not official in anyway. The figure behind Link is properly not dark link cause you defeated him in OoT but it could be a Hylian who was banished to the dark world for some reason and has come back for revenge or something like that but remember i'm just telling what I THINK IT COULD BE so this is not official.Link-from-Hell

it could be zelda/shiek because the Sheikah are also called the shadow folk which could explain the dark cloak.

Since there are millions of theories about the game floating around, I remember seeing some people speculating about the existence of a Dark World in this game like in Link to the Past. If that is the case, then maybe the hooded character is Link in the Dark World. That would sure beat being turned into a rabbit again.

I'm not saying there is a Dark World! I'm just saying I hear rumors that there is, and if there is, this could be plausible.

You may all attack me for saying this, but my guess is that the person behind Link is Ganondorf. Look at this picture...

Now, I can't find a picture that is not copywritten with his back turned. However, if you remember and look closely Ganondorf has the SAME DESIGN as the back of this mysterious person's robe along with the symbol of the Shieka ;).

Note: I know Ganondorf is not a Shieka, but the same thing was on the door of the entrence to his room in the Forsaken Fortress in the WW.
