Nintendo has officially disowned all those fans that bought a Game Cube. I guess they aren't really included in the "wii" philosophy on including everyone...........

Even though I'm getting it for the Wii on launch day, I still think it sucks for those of you who were going to get it for the GCN.

Well, I was pretty dissapointed when I first heard of the whole delay... but I'm just happy that it wasn't for both versions of the game. The good thing is that this has pretty much narrowed my choice down to the one version which I was leaning more towards anyways, but I do feel bad for those who were planning to buy it for the Gamecube first and possibly the Wii version afterwards.

I think they're delaying the GC version so that die hard Zelda fans (like us) will be forced to get the Wii version as we wouldn't be able to wait two more weeks :P I think it's just another step in Nintendo's innovative plan.

Well... whatever their marketing strategy may be, it still doesn't deny the fact that they have made many Zelda fans very angry. I myself am not one of them, but today I have read my fair share of "hateful" comments regarding the whole situation.

I'm sure a bunch of other people were going to go with that strategy as well, but now it seems that the Wii version will be the ideal one for them to get. That is unless you have a decent amount of patience to wait more than we already have just to play it on the Gamecube. Personally I don't have that kind of patience, so for me it's the Wii. :D

For me it's quite obvious that the Wii version will be alot better than the GC version so I would wonder why people would even get the GC version (except for the sake of trying both)

It's a smart company move by Nintendo. They want Wii to succeed and if they can convince GC Zelda fans to upgrade to get TP 2-3 weeks earlier, they will. Smart ... not necessarily nice :P

The two week delay didn't really bother me, and it is a smart move for Nintendo. Honestly I don't mind that as long as it gets released. But there are allot of people out there who say it is stupid to get the Gamecube version because it's dead. Don't call us stupid for wanting the Gamecube version. It's like breaking up with your girlfriend, some of us need closure in order to move on. The rest of us kind of realize that the Gamecube is dying. Gamecube has been pretty bittersweet; it didn't have many games but we love the games that it does have. Nintendo promised us one final adventure, and we just want to say goodbye; to send it away with a bang before we lay it to rest. A final lay, so to speak, for old times sake.

I will wait. Nintendo does not have any hold on me, and it won't matter how long it takes

Yea that hurts... I'm dissapointed butthat's the way economy works... But hey I'm broke and as long as it's still coming out I don't mind. And around Christmas??? That means I won't have to BUY it at all if you get my drift.

I stopped relying on people and their promises a long time ago. Nintendo's words mean about as much to me as a piece of dirt on the sidewalk.

I've been waiting for years for Zelda's comeback to 3D on GC. I can hold out for another few weeks if I have to. An annoying hindrance, but manageable.

and chances are you'll have a better chance of getting it on day one since most people will have already gotten the Wii version.

I was dissapointed by this. I'm not ready to pay 250 for a Wii, especially at Christmas time. I preordered the GC version and was not pleased to hear about yet another delay, though two weeks is not bad, plus this gives me a chance to see if the Wii version works as well as they want it to. Because if it doesn't, I'm going to be happy I got the "better" version, and if it does, I won't mind because I love the classic gameplay style I've come to know.

Yeah, good point. Although I'll probably have to stay off the internet while I wait to avoid any potential spoilers.

Would be a stupid move to release the game at the same time for both systems. They want the Wii to take as much space as possible at release so from a Wii point of view this is the best solution. Not for the players though.
