I have a theory that his exposure to traveling through 7 years in an instant and the Fierce Diety Mask(said to be evil and may have darker effects on its user then Majora's Mask)Â may have corrupted him. We will hopefully find out what happened to him in Tp. I just can't shake off this feeling that something truly horrible happened to him.

I think it would be cool if in Twilight Princess, the new Link happens to come across the old forty or fifty year old Link. Heh, that would be cool.
that would be cool to met a 40 or 50 year old link in TP. I think he would be kinda like Ocra from TWW in the sense that the new Link would train with him and take advice when given.
 As for what happened to Link from OTT i like to think that Link did find his friend and he did live as happily as possible and i have a theory. The Wind Waker took place 100 years after OTT. One of the ghost sages that Link from TWW meets looks alot like Link. I was thinking that maybe Link found a wife and had children and Link's children or grandchildren returned to Hyrule and became that sage. I know this theory is flawed but if anyone has helpful comments im glad to hear them
Well, he left to find the friend he was looking for, Navi (most likely) in MM, and they returned. Maybe he returned to Hyrule after it already was destroyed (legend in WW) or went somewhere else.
Well as we all know after the OOT Link went to Termina blah blah blah the moon was about to fall blah blah blah and then he must have returned to Hyrule!! I think Twilight Princess is the game that will show us what happened to the OOT Link!! Offcourse TP's Link is a different reencarnation of the Hero and this was one of the first info that we got from Nintendo!!Now the question is not what happened to the OOT Link but what elements will the new Link use to fight!! This is the first time after 2 console games( Majoras Mask and Wind Walker) that we return to the Land Of Hyrule!! We will be taken several decades after OOT which means OOT's Link must have died peacefully a few years before TP takes place!! So will the Triforce still be the best weapon to fight evil, where are the sages, is their peace between the rases of Hyrule, are their new rases? This are the questions that we need to answer and to answer them we need ......Twilight Princess to come out!!
So all of this are to be answered in about 4 months!! ( The waiting is like a knife taken out slowly from my heart):)
After you beat OoT Link goes back to see Zelda in hyrule. but maybe sometime after he went to look for navi and then gets mugged by skull kid and that starts MM. and in WW the story they're describing is probably link from OoT. so the tradition Outset Island follows is to train children when they come around link's age and try to find the Hero of Time again. that's what i think
well, after OoT we know that he travels to Tarminia and has some adventures. but after that, i think he just wanders around Hyrule, living a normal life, cuz the Ocarina was taken from him, so he cant time travel anymore

Have you played Majora's Mask? He has the Ocarina of Time in it and the whole game is time traveling among 3 days.

read the story they tell you before you start a file on WW. it explains a lot
Link from Ocarina of Time is the same one as in Majoras Mask because Majoras Kask takes place only 3 months after OOT!! But the character of Link in WW is the encarnation of Link due to the fact that WW takes place hundred of years after OOT!! This is well known!!
So OOT Link also went through the MM adventure and then he must have simply lived his life peacefully until his death!! But as we aslo know the Twilight Princess takes place a few decades after OOT and MM, so Nintendo could have some surprises for us!! Maybe Link from TP is infact the grandchild or in the same bloodline of the OOT's Link and not just his encarnation!! Who knows!!! maybe Link did married Malon!!lol
That big forest where we see Link get his horse stolen is in Hyrule, then he falls into Termina. After saving Termina, we see him in the same forest at the end of the game. So I believe Link returns to Hyrule and lives happily ever after.

Yeah, we'll probably find out in TP. Yeah because they say the hero never came, yet this Link comes after the OoT Link so you'd think either this Link fails or another Link after the TP one does.
