The last temple in the original. That one is brutal. The Water Temple(s) are nice competitors though.waZelda
ditto. I spent such a long time just looking for the red ring in that dungeon X_XÂ
all the water temples in almost all zelda games to date.

the water temple in "Link to the Past" was one of that game's easiest.
I don't get why people think the water temples are so hard; They really aren't. The MM water temple was a little tricky, but not too bad.aryeec
Its purely just an exagerated reaction to the Ocarina of Time's Water Dungeon, which was truly a tricky dungeon.
But you're right, the other water dungeons are fairly tame, Majora's Mask. Link to the Past etc.

None of them were really that bad. OoT's water dungeon required a bit of exploration but it wasn't that bad, just time consuming.Â
You want tricky, try the water temple in Master Quest, I spent about 10x longer than I needed to, you can skip almost right to the final boss but I went through so many useless rooms =P
every water dungeon >_>falcOWNS
I'll second that! Especially Ocarina and Twilight princess, man those temples are annoying!
There are just so many dungeons... it's hard to compare them all, but I'd have to say that the most difficult dungeon for me was probably Ganon's Tower in ALttP. It revisited many of the game's previous challenges, only they were a little more difficult the second time around.
Either that, or the Shadow Temple from Ocarina of Time. The challenges weren't hard, it was overcoming the sheer terror that the temple struck me with that was difficult to overcome.
I acually started playing Adventures of Link yesterday, hoping to beat it this time, and today I finally managed to reach the last dungeon.
I'd have to go with that one. While I at least had a walkthrough to help me find the right path, it took me a while to manage to reach the second last boss with enough health and magic left to have a shot at beating it. The blue iron knuckles are just a pain until you find a cheap way to beat or avoid them. Once I beat the thunder bird and reached the final boss, it was just too hard and I gave up. I mean, Dark Link is just so fast. He is painfully hard to hit, and if I miss I'll be taking damage right afterwards. Not once did I manage to reduce his health to half.
