Which version of Twilight Princess do you think will be more successful? Obviously both versions will sell well but I think the Wii version will outdo the GC version because people will want something to play on their new Nintendo Wii.

I will be getting the Wii version of TP alongside the Nintendo Wii when it launches. I'll probably pick up the GC version at some point in 2007 when I'm ready to experience TP again.

Hmmm...I'd agree, the Wii one will sell simply because it's pretty much guaranteed to be a masterpiece, so it's a safe bet to go alongside a new console. I'll be going for the GC version myself, as I won't be buying a Wii for at least a year or two.

Because most high-street stores in the UK have stopped ordering new Gamecube titles, I can't see GC TP selling well next to the Wii version. Maybe once the Wii establishes itself in the market, the shops might give more of a spotlight to GC titles (for backwards compatibility).

I'd have to say Wii TP, as more people will probably be getting a Wii when it comes out, and TP is one f the biggest launch games. the GC version is coming out on an essentially dead console.

Wii TP will be far more successful IMO. The Gamecube TP i think will mostly be bought by people who don't plan on getting the Wii anytime soon. I think almost anyone who is getting the Wii will be getting Wii TP.

I think the Gamecube version will score higher, but the Wii version will sell more.

Now, of course, it really depends on what people are comfortable playing. With the Wii, you're going to be using the wiimote and on the GC version, you're going to be using an old fashioned controller. Now, some people would rather just experience the game like they've experienced the other Legend of Zeldas, with a controller. Of course, there is also going to be the people that would rather wait to get the WII, so they would get the GC version most likely. However, Nintendo's GC system is most likely a dead console as it didn't really have anything to offer over Microsoft or Sony. So, more people are going to want to get Nintendo's newest system which offers something completely new in the gaming world and experience it while the GC just gains dust. For me personally, while I'm not going to get the Wii as soon as it launches, I'll probably pick up a copy of both the system and the game at a later date and then experience what all the hype is about over TP.

I think the Wii version will sell more. People will want a game for their new console that utilizes the Wii-mote. Also, that minor graphical boost will draw more people in.

I still want to play the game with the Wiimote myself. I want to see if it gets implemented well. I'm just excited and curious at this point.

Won't there be a feature on the Wii version where you can play it with traditional controls using this.

I think he's right. The Wii version may score worse than the GC version. (Most probably) I could see the GC version getting a 9.6, with the Wii version getting a 9.3 :P

probably because people will have a hard time getting used to the Wiimote controls while they've been using a Gamecube for a few years, it's reasonable to say that the GC version will score higher.

And the Wii comes with the widescreen function!

But even if i had the wii at the time i'd still buy the GC version.

Can't mess with the traditional style!

But I think since Gamesopt hasnt been so nice to Nintendo games........(MP: Hunters Shenmue....list goes on)

I think this game will get the highest rating in 5 years..........9.8 for both system!

btw go to gamesopt.com

idk about 9.8, like you said GS has been harsh to Nintendo so why would this get so much of a better rating? I think it'll get something like that on IGN but not on GS.

for scores i predict... Wii: 9.4 GC: 9.7 i can just see the Wii version being marked down if they dont't completely perfectly implement the Wiimote, which would be a shame. after all, it will be extremely difficult to get it spot on first time, no matter how much play testing etc etc. i'm also apprehensive, slightly, about how the control the wolf sections. it would be a shame of they made it too rigid, like you were controlling a veichle, a'la tauntauns in SW:battlefront. we can only hope.

One thing i noticed when i looked at my tracked games a lot more people have the GC version on their wishlist then the Wii

However I will be picking up the Wii version at launch and will be playing the hell out of it I really cant wait to see how this controller will work with a legenday franchise such as Zelda.
