Majora's Mask: Woodfall Temple, Snowhead Temple, Great Bay Temple, Stone Tower Temple.

Wind Waker: Earth Temple, Wind Temple.

I have always found this to be curious.

It's just a coincedence. Call them what you like. Levels, temples, dungeons, it's all the same thing really.

It also gives them a more spiritual feeling, which makes sense since they have a lot to do with the Triforce.

Yes i agree!! Zelda games have a lot of spirituality going on in them!!! What would you like the Temples to be called....fortresses, Towers? They are Temples!! But you are correct!! maybe they should add not only Temples but other things too!! Like is said, Towers!!

Well there was the Tower of the Gods. It had a spiritual sense and was also a tower.

Yes, temples really does give it the spiritual feeling. I always felt that when going through temples. Religous temple that have been taken over by the forces of darkness. The best example is the Forest Temple in OoT, it's really fits well. I don't consider the Shadow Temple to be though, because it feels dark already, and on the path to the Hover Boots, it says: "Shadow Temple... Here is gathered Hyrule's bloody history of greed and hatred..."  However I am contradicting myself when I say that it does have a spiritual reference to remind Hyrule of their past, and bloody wars.

I hope that in the TP we will find out more info about the war that happened before OOT and ofcourse how the Temples were built and stuff like that!!

But the most exciting part of the TP will be the fact that the Hero returns to Hyrule after 2 games in the Zelda series!! Burning questions are coming into my mind right now!!! For example, what happened to the sages, what happened to the rases, which cities that we know have changed or destroyed and how many new ones have been built!!! What happened to OOT Link? And ofcourse  i want know the legend of TP!! Every Zelda game has one, but i thnk the TP's is going to be the best of them all!!

Well I suppose they fit the games stories and aren't the Temple of Time and the Temple of Light the same temple or am I wrong?

as everyone else said, LOZ has a spiritual sense to it. and besides it has to do with swords and magic. what kind of FANTASY action adventure not have a temple or dungeon to support its genre?

They are not the same. The Temple of Time is near Hyrule Castle in the North, while the Temple of Light, according to Rauru, is in the center of the Sacred Realm.

I agree they could also name things without temple and give them a spiritual name:

The hyrule´s ruins

The shadow catacombs

The phantom mansion

The breeze fortress

The waterfall´s heart

The flame cathedral

The spirit pyramid

The grass labirynth

Only to name quick ones they could replace temple for cooler things

Well, a great deal of the Legend of Zelda refers to the Gods, Zeda is a very religious *of it's own religion* game. Look at the triforce, that's very holy to and it shows up in every game :).

Ah ok, I understand, was it destoryed when Ganon made the sacred realm the Dark World?

Haven't really noticed that much, With the great Game play , How could I. (?):)

Um, I usually notice just about everything in Zelda games. Like, for instance, in Ocarina of Time, if you talk to the guard in the Castle Town guardhouse at night, he will talk about how he studies ghosts or something, and how that knowledge might be useful someday, and 7 years later, there is a guy who buys ghost in the guardhouse. Which leads me to believe that he may be the guard from 7 years ago. Maybe not, though.

Two things about temples, challange and power. A temple is always a way to prove your stength and do it while pushing your mental capabilities. Its a great way to add a little darkness or lightness into the game as well.

I think that the word temple is part of the Zelda experience and shouldn't be taken out.  When you think about it, the first dungeons in OoT didnt have temple in them like the Deku Tree, Dodongos Cavern, Jabu-Jabu's Belly, Ice Cavern, and Bottom of the Well.  So if they had some dungeons with the title of Temple and some without that would be just fine.

well if u think about it it wouldn't be that different.........instead of going to the fire temple you'd be going to the fire dungeon, but it's the same stuff, enemies, items, map, etc........so you shouldn't really care about the name
