i think as long as you sailed straight and didn't do anything to them they wouldn't attack you.

jumping misses sometimes, and its annoying to control the boat the whole way, and I know sailing straight doesn't work because when I left for a snack I come back to see a drowned link.

I can jump over the shark if I'm paying attention, but the thing is I just want to leave the course set and go away and come back and be near the island. I have having to control the sailing if there are no rupee barrel goal things to keep me occupied.
I thought it was an excellent game but I have a few complaints. Sailing was a bit long and the end scavenger quest for Triforce pieces was a little rushed.

I said it was a rushed finished. Aonuma even acknowledges it. I'm glad that TP isn't going to have that problem since it got delayed and he vowed never to make the same mistakes he made in WW.

I never had trouble with the sharks. see one comin. turn around. 1 2 jump. he goes under. if i feel angry, pull out the boomerang or bow and arrows and KILL IT TO DEATH.
i didnt really like the fact in wind waker ... how they made link look right ?! i didnt like his look. he looked all cartoony like ... you know what im saying ?? dont get me wrong i love adventure games like cartoony and stuff.

Now that I am on my second run, it finally dawned to me how annoying sailing really is. I never really noticed during my first run, because the game was still pretty much unexplored for me.
