Heh, OoA is the only handheld game I haven't played. XD I'm gonna have to go with Minish Cap on this one. I liked it because it presented a challenge, but didn't get TOO frustrating.

I'm stuck between the Oracle games and The Minish Cap. All 3 are a great experience, and it's hard to decide which is better...

I've only played the Oracle games (I plan to play the others eventually), and I liked Seasons the best out of the two.

Being the indecisive person that I am, I would have to say it is between Link's Awakening and the Minish Cap.

naw, that's unfair. the GBA had lots of good games. Zelda hapenned to be the best though ;) there's also Minish Cap, which is my close second.

Those two are among my favorite "remakes" that have been released for the GBA. I am actually glad that they do things such as that, because it really helps out people who have never experienced great games like those before... and it also helps out "younger" generations of gamers discover some great series (such as, in this case, the Mario and Zelda series.)

i'm a pretty big fan of the GBA remakes as well. I've always wanted to get the original Metroid remake as well (in the NES series) but i'm pretty jammed for money right now so it'll have to wait.

I would also recommend that you play those two games if you have yet to play them. And don't get me wrong because I think LA is great and all, but if you enjoyed that then you would more than likely enjoy the other two which Calpalg mentioned.

I also enjoyed LA quite a bit, it's a fun game but it lacks the replay value of a game like MC, there's much more to do in the newer portable games rather than the classics. Even Alttp was more enjoyable for the GBA then it was for the SNES.

mainly because you can play it anywhere. Zelda on the train or the bus. a brilliant idea :D and yah, i agree about the replay value aspect. there's so much to do in MC, MM, OOT, etc etc compared to the originals.

Those are pretty much all of the reasons why I recommended those two games for him. Even though you can go back to play LA and find some things that you might have missed the first time around, it just doesn't compare to the various amount of things you can do in ALttP and MC.

one of the things i like most about MC is that it provides so many things to do that are apart from the mine story. It's really a great game.

Well, you would actually be surprised at how many people believe Majora's Mask is the second Zelda game... while also believing that Ocarina of Time was the "first" in the series. Now most of us know that this is obviously not true, but there have been far too many instances in which I have seen or heard people thinking along those lines.
