Zelda Unions Triforce Wars

Hello all!

This summer The Legend of Zelda Union will be taking part in the first (annual?) Triforce Wars!

Essentially this will be a large competition and tournament between 3 Zelda unions around gamespot. We will be playing various games online and determining what unions members are the best once and for all! The details of the contests are yet to be worked out, but expect a few gaming competitions (Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, etc) a couple arts competitions (fanfics, signature contests) maybe a speed run of a Zelda game. Who knows?

The contest will be this summer and will be between us, the Zelda Universe Union and one other union that has yet to be determined.

Prepare to get your ass kicked, Zelda Universe and third-union-that-has-yet-to-be-determined. :P

It's a pretty straight-forward competition. We decide a date, we all meet up online in the choosen game

let's say we are playing Brawl; We all add each other via friend codes, we all meet up at the same time on the same date online and play a tournament where we represent our respective unions. It'll be tons of fun and a great competition.

A little bit more info:

We'll be figuring out a date later this month where leaders and officers get together on msn or a chatroom to figure out the details including what games to play, what platforms (wii, PS3, 360, PC, DS, etc) will be included and all those finer details.

It's not too hard, but we'll have detailed instructions on all that stuff once we get the ball rolling on this.

Off the top of my head I believe you can find your friend code in your Wii's address book.

I'll usually wake up around 10, but in case I didn't want to drive home the previous night, let's give it until about noon before we meet.

Also I usually play hockey or DnD sat nights at 5, so we should probably finish up before 4pm. (pacific time) If that's a bit too time-restritive my sundays are usually much more free.

So the 3 unions involved shall be:

The Zelda Universe Union

Reading only the first post, and ignoring everything else. Forgive me, if this has been brought forward, but I think we should try, and make it even a larger event. The first thing that came to mind was the arts festival in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. So if we can add this aspect to make the union more active, fun, and include special treats, alongside the competition. It could be really interesting. I definitely like the idea of holding the gaming tourneys, art contests, and so forth. I would also like to nominate writing (because I'm a writer, I can show off XD). Perhaps, some sort of collaborative effort to create a scrapbook of sorts of Legend of Zelda fun from the members, I'm not sure. This is all form the top of my head, but my intent is to try, and get those creative juices flowing to make this annual occurance, if that happens to be the case, even more spectacular.

Edit: Also, you could try to note the birth of the series in north America during this time, or at the end of it, or something. The original Legend of Zelda game was released August 22nd 1987. So, it's a good day to end the festitivities, especially considering people getting prepared for school, and what not in those extra couple of weeks of summer.
