oh i forgot it could. ive never done it.

still, actually, dont do it. im trying to tune up some base skills and its easier for me if i start it.

you're kidding right? my works are lucky if they get more than 10 layers :P EDIT: i checked my favorite/best ranked works (as well as my first PS sig) and they have 9 layers, 10 layers and 6 layers. the PS sig has 12, and that's just to keep the brushes organized :P

BTW i still like the original better :P

You think 19 is a lot? The one I'm wearing now has 34 and that's less than what I usually have.SoraX64

maybe it's because i merge them a lot. me lieks merging, keeps thing organized.

i never merge unless its a render that i duplicate to do something to it. it makes everything much easier to access and change without changing other things i dont want changed. also why i have every brush, C4D, stock, and most effects, on separate layers. 

I usually get from 15 to 20 something.  I do merge sometimes though.

lol it's not like my mergings are things that can't be redone easily. most times. i'm using a lot more copy visible with a few layers turned on now.

i decided that i should not give up and accepted sora's challenge. this is the best i could do with the little i know of photoshop (i can't even find the smudge tool or use the pen tool to render like i'd do in gimp... and i "pseudo-render" a lot)

i honestly don't think it turned out half bad, but then again, most of it is sora's work :lol:

At school I used the "polygon lasso tool" to render with photoshop.  It's under the normal lasso tool if you hold it down.

i use a lot of smudging and i dont stop until it looks perfect, so i dont wanna do it again. thats one examply.

for example my current sig's BG has 3 smudge layers, none of them merged. and i just found out this is the work with the most layers i have (13 with an empty layer that i swear i don't know why i made :P). the previous version had 14 full layers thanks to the clipping mask that was later removed.

i remember that clipping mask.;)

yeah i just dont merge layer much. i like to be able to edit what i have and not have to redo it. sometimes i have empy layers when i add text and forget it puts it on a new layer.
