These are some sigs that I made for a friend of mine who really likes Yoruichi from Bleach. He liked them a lot but I'd like to know what you all think. Two of them are 700 X 260 and one is 350 x 123 pixels.

Do not mention just the problems. Say how she can improve.
first of all, you should really get used to not use text, specially even it's so much as it is here. It distracts the attention from the render and it takes too much space in the image, covering the other effects.Â
2nd: BLEND. what do I mean? Do not just drop the renders on a plain background. Add more effects in the front in order to make them look IN the sig, not ON it.Â
3rd: Read some tutorials. They help A LOT.
You have a lot of potencial. Keep it up ;)
I would do all the things that people suggested.
Â
Also add some effects to the text to make it blend in or look good with the sig. Â Maybe make it glow? Â Or add a little shine to the text. Â Also try to blend the render with the sig. Â But ifrst you need higher quality renders.
The first sig the render isn't cut very well.  But its pretty hard to find a good yoruichi render.
The second sig is the best so far.  Remember to enhance quality by blurring and sharpening.
Tutorials are everyone's buddy:)
Giva a few on effects and render work an dI'm sure you'll see vast improvement;)
Thanks everyone, I appreciate all of your tips on what and how to improve my designing. I'll definately check out the tutorials and give them a try to practice. I knew this was the a good place to join and glad that I did. I'm still getting used to Photoshop CS3 and only know the basics right now.
So saving as .jpg makes a lower quality image? I didn't know that... so .png is better to save the completed images?
As far as the text on them goes, that was what my friend wanted it to look like; but now that I look at them more there is a lot of text on them ...
Something else that I've been told is to make my "water mark" lighter so it's less noticeable yet still there, which I'm going to have to do. Maybe come up with a small image to use instead of my name & etc.
[QUOTE="Jas0n94"] Wow! I have never think of something like that before! I might use it too, if you don't mind :twisted:BrunoBRSdax always uses watermarks, i can't believe you haven't noticed yet >.>He uses "d223"
How is that in any way a brush watermark?
@Bella: Pick it well :P you don't want to pick something you're gonna change later on then people will get confused.

brush watermark? i thought we were talking about watermarks in general *facepalms*I should make a watermark too...it would be something different and it wouldn't distact as much as text does...hmm
Anyway, pretty much everything everyone already said, tuts are helpful, heck I still use tuts, youtube has some good ones, and so does deviantart, but you can check out any of my 4 tuts on GS under my videos, or any of Colmillios's tuts under her videos, her tuts are what got me started, so they may help you too, but they are for GIMP, so keep that in mind!
