I belive the NCAA should get rid of the BCS and install a playoff system for the top 8 ranked teams.  The rest of the teams could still participate in Bowl Games but the top 8 teams would be duking it out for the National Championship.  I know this would cause seven of the best teams in that nation to not have any bowl wins but it would be much more exciting for the fans.

It would be 10x better if they had a playoff system instead of only 2 teams

sometimes i love it and sometimes i hate it but i think they should keep it because its part of college football. theres controversies evey year over it and fans feel cheated but it happens every year and is part of the atmosphere of college football

I definitely want a playoff system.  If there was a playoff system in '04 Auburn would have been the National Champs.

there would be controversey either way. I agree the playoff system would be better, but they would still have to decide who the best 8 teams are.

I agree totally with Terps. What I think they should do is have a play in game for the 4th or 8th spot.

I'd like to see a playoff, but there's something that still bugs me about having that: How will the teams be seeded? Will they still use some kind of ranking system like the BCS or use a committee like in March Madness? The playoff system could become bad too if it happens to leave off worthy teams...

Their will be controversy in any system the NCAA uses to crown a NC. Somebody some where will still be mad because their team got left out. Look at the mid-majors, they would be constantly shafted because they wouldn't ever get picked.

not every single team needs to be awarded. thats why only a select few make bowl games. it makes it more interesting.

yeah it is a part of college football, im not sure though. I think we should try playoff system at least for a couple of years and see how it goes then just let ppl vote.

The BCS is a monopolistic bunch of crap that is designed by nature to bring as much cash back into the participating conferences as possible. The money involved here is astronomical and it took nearly an act of Congress to expose this. They got lucky last year for the first time with TX and SoCal, but it may not happen again. Ask Auburn how it feels about the BCS job they got two years ago. What a sham. A playoff system is not rocket science and keeping all the bowls intact could be figured out also but the big blockade is from the BCS bigwigs who know that a ton of money will be diverted to other conferences. They're spoiled and don't want to give up the $$$$$$$.

Playoffs all the way put the top 10 in a playoff so we will have 1 non disputable National Champion. I still hate USC for robbing LSU in 2003. Everyone knew the SugarBowl was the NC gane when USC didnt make it lets have the be NC. Sorry for the semi rant
