Interested to see all the opinions I can on this subject. So here it is:

Should Michigan replay Ohio State for the national title?

Arguments For:
- Those are the two best teams in the country
- It was one great game and it would be interesting to see on a neutral field
- The other contender, USC, lost to Oregon State, not Ohio State.

Arguments Against:
- Michigan had their shot and they lost it.
- You should not be able to play for the National Championship if you dont win your confrence.
- Who gets the national crown if the teams are 1-1 against each other???

Only if Florida and USC loses. Other than that.....no.

This year is the worst year for the BCS that i can remember since 3 teams went undefeated. I wasent a big fan of playoff system but now i can see their point. I would prefer like a 12 team playoff seed. Much like the NFL with top 4 teams having a bye week the first week.

I agree with Espurs, if USC or Florida win out, they deserve a shot, but if both of them lose at least one more game then Michigan gets the shot.

IF michigan gets to play OSU again, I honestly think they could win it..they have what it takes to beat OSU...but thats a big IF.

You guys are gonna say this is biased, but if USC loses Michigan should get the rematch, I dont think Florida deserves it.

I hate the BSC. Apparently so does half of the country. I just voted for a poll on ESPN and the question was: Should there be a division 1 college football playoff? I said yes and so did 87% of the voters. 13% said no. Wonder if this might effect their decision to change it?

I don't get it, why is everyone using the term 'rematch'.  Say the OSU-Michigan game never happened earlier this year, then would you want to see them in the National Championship.  You have to let the two best teams play in the National Championship, and Michigan and Ohio State are clearly 1-2 this year.

IF that match never happened then yes they should be the ones going to the NC. But the thing is that match happened and Mich lost it, why or how doesnt matter, they lost it. The whole argument is that they lost the match to the same team that is in the BCS NC right now, so they should not get another chance at OSU, if they lost to anyone else they should be the ones getting the chance, but they already had their chance, now its time for someone else to try.

USC lost to Oregon State and Notre Dame's loss was to Michigan by a large margin. Out of those three teams Florida is the only team that should be considered for the #2 slot besides Michigan. That could all change if USC or Notre Dame blows out their opponent this week though.

I think michigan is the second best team but i would like to see another team get a shot against OSU.
Michigan had their chance and they lost, though it was by 3 and at OSU i still think another team deserves a chance. Only if either USC or Florida finishes with one loss.

osu wont be playing nd or louisville AND it wounldnt be a blowout. the teams havent even played this year. yeah louisville has had its ups and downs but you cant figure games by stats prior to the game. wvu played usf like they were nothing and got upset at home for the first time in two years. i think a usc vs. osu game would be a one for the ages. better than last years texas and usc game.

Now last years NC game was one for the ages. Even though we lost, it was good football game, but when you lose after such expectations, its hard to enjoy that game, I still cant watch that game, and for the first few months VY haunted me.

Well, due to the pollsters and the computers being completely retarded, it looks like it will be a USC vs. Ohio State national championship.

Well you cant say that for sure, I mean I thought Mich was the better team for a while, but after watching USC play they have come a long way, and I think they are almost as good a team. I dont think anyone can say that Mich is "clearly" the second best team in the country.

That first half of the game, I'll admit, I was a little scared at the power USC showed. They looked great. Period. Admittedly this was the first time I've really watched them play all year. But then. I realized they were playing Notre Dame and am looking forward to the game in the Desert, of which I am confident in my Buckeyes

While I do think that Michigan is a better team than USC, I don't think they deserve the shot at a NC over them yet. Now if USC and Florida both lose their next games, then I think it's definitely Michigan who should be there. The reason I don't think Michigan should get the shot over a 1-loss USC or Florida is because those teams would be conference champs while Michigan is not.

Completely agree with you there, if we lose to UCLA and Florida looses to Arkansas, then I would like none other Mich to get the shot at the NC. That first half of the game, I'll admit, I was a little scared at the power USC showed. They looked great. Period. Admittedly this was the first time I've really watched them play all year. But then. As you should be, I am hoping for a good game, my expectations are not as high as last year, and if we make it to the NC, then I hope we have a good game.

I think even if Florida beats Arkansas and USC loses to UCLA, it should be Michigan in the national championship.

Actually, I think if USC has a hard time beating UCLA, it should be Michigan in the national championship.

Unless Michigan gets beat in the Rose Bowl, which I'm guessing they will unfortunately get put this year, nothing will change my mind that they were the number two team and deserved to be in the national championship.

Also, I'm not a die hard Michigan fan. In fact, I don't even like Michigan. This is coming out of a talent evaluation and how screwed up the BCS is.

All I can say is, get rid of it. There's a contraversy almost every single year. The only year there hasn't been was last year when both USC and Texas by far were the two most deserving teams.

When you have as tough a conference schedule as Florida does though, OOC schedules aren't as important.

The SEC is harder to go undefeated in than the Pac 10 is. The Pac 10 is basically a 1 team race every year now.

I wish Florida would play Ohio state
and I wish LSU could play USC in the Rose Bowl
but its not going to happen
so LSU vs Michigan in the Rose
USC vs Ohio in the NC/ Fiesta
Florida vs Notre Dame in Sugar
thats a few of my predictions

[QUOTE="Fadedinline"][QUOTE="sith_acolyte15"]The SEC is harder to go undefeated in than the Pac 10 is. The Pac 10 is basically a 1 team race every year now.PeterTimpa
You cant help the conference schedule, I would like to see LSU vs USC, that should be fun, no matter who wins.

Thank you my friend, you are the only USC friend who acctually gives LSU credit. best of luck to your team. I cant wait for the USC vs LSU game

I dont disagree that the SEC is a best conference, but most people I know (mostly gator fans) make out to be wayy harder than it really is. The SEC has really good teams, but as most other conferences cannot help their conf schedule they are judged more on the OOC schedule than their conf schedule. I would like USC to play a SEC team other than Arkansas, like Florida or LSU, as I said before it should be a fun game to watch, our defence is getting really good right now, so it should be really fun to see.

Why the hell does USC deserve a spot over Florida if they beat Arkansas?

The short answer: They don't.

The short Answer: Better OOC schedule. Florida should not schedule cupcakes.

Did you ever think that they try, but get shut down because nobody wants to play them? That's happening with Auburn, they've been trying to get Texas, Ohio St. and the like to come play, but they deny.

Well, considering Ohio State is booked in OOC throught something crazy like 2016 with teams like USC, Oklahoma, and Miami (prolly looked better when they scheduled it than what it does now) they dont really have the open weeks to schedule Auburn

every college team has to have some bye weeks during the season. thats why they put temple and duke on their schedule. so they can get an easy win and their players can rest up.

Exactly, the SEC is the most physical conference bar-none. The Pac-10 doesn't play much defense, rather the hard hitting kind.
