Only if Florida and USC loses. Other than that.....no.
This year is the worst year for the BCS that i can remember since 3 teams went undefeated. I wasent a big fan of playoff system but now i can see their point. I would prefer like a 12 team playoff seed. Much like the NFL with top 4 teams having a bye week the first week.
I don't get it, why is everyone using the term 'rematch'. Say the OSU-Michigan game never happened earlier this year, then would you want to see them in the National Championship. You have to let the two best teams play in the National Championship, and Michigan and Ohio State are clearly 1-2 this year.bgres077
But it didnt. Plus I dont buy that Michigan is clearly the number 2 team. Florida, USC and ND all have 1 loss as well.........you cnt put the word "clearly" in that.

USC lost to Oregon State and Notre Dame's loss was to Michigan by a large margin. Out of those three teams Florida is the only team that should be considered for the #2 slot besides Michigan. That could all change if USC or Notre Dame blows out their opponent this week though.i want to see two different teams who havent played each other, PLAY AGAINST EACH OTHER. its going to be boring to see mich play osu again. usc and osu might be a good game.Gunnerman007So you'd rather see something like OSU vs Notre Dame or Louisville... and have it be a blowout?

yeah maybe i said a little too much but last years NC game was great. i just dont want another rematch. Now last years NC game was one for the ages. Even though we lost, it was good football game, but when you lose after such expectations, its hard to enjoy that game, I still cant watch that game, and for the first few months VY haunted me.Fadedinline
I have it recorded......seen it plenty of times. Giants fan feel the same way today, Young owned them in the 4th quarter, coudlnt bring him down for the sack.

Let's hope that Romo can make the Giants' D look just as bad next Sunday.

Yes lets hope on that.
Well, due to the pollsters and the computers being completely retarded, it looks like it will be a USC vs. Ohio State national championship.ToucanbirdWell you cant say that for sure, I mean I thought Mich was the better team for a while, but after watching USC play they have come a long way, and I think they are almost as good a team. I dont think anyone can say that Mich is "clearly" the second best team in the country.

I dont think anyone can say that Mich is "clearly" the second best team in the country. That first half of the game, I'll admit, I was a little scared at the power USC showed. They looked great. Period. Admittedly this was the first time I've really watched them play all year. But then. I realized they were playing Notre Dame and am looking forward to the game in the Desert, of which I am confident in my Buckeyes
While I do think that Michigan is a better team than USC, I don't think they deserve the shot at a NC over them yet. Now if USC and Florida both lose their next games, then I think it's definitely Michigan who should be there. The reason I don't think Michigan should get the shot over a 1-loss USC or Florida is because those teams would be conference champs while Michigan is not.sith_acolyte15Completely agree with you there, if we lose to UCLA and Florida looses to Arkansas, then I would like none other Mich to get the shot at the NC. I realized they were playing Notre Dame and am looking forward to the game in the Desert, of which I am confident in my Buckeyes As you should be, I am hoping for a good game, my expectations are not as high as last year, and if we make it to the NC, then I hope we have a good game.
I think even if Florida beats Arkansas and USC loses to UCLA, it should be Michigan in the national championship.
Actually, I think if USC has a hard time beating UCLA, it should be Michigan in the national championship.
Unless Michigan gets beat in the Rose Bowl, which I'm guessing they will unfortunately get put this year, nothing will change my mind that they were the number two team and deserved to be in the national championship.
Also, I'm not a die hard Michigan fan. In fact, I don't even like Michigan. This is coming out of a talent evaluation and how screwed up the BCS is.
All I can say is, get rid of it. There's a contraversy almost every single year. The only year there hasn't been was last year when both USC and Texas by far were the two most deserving teams.
Why the hell does USC deserve a spot over Florida if they beat Arkansas?I think even if Florida beats Arkansas and USC loses to UCLA, it should be Michigan in the national championship.

How does Florida have abetter scedule than us?? And please dont bring up the unranked loss, cause Oregon State is now ranked. The SEC is harder to go undefeated in than the Pac 10 is. The Pac 10 is basically a 1 team race every year now.sith_acolyte15You cant help the conference schedule, I would like to see LSU vs USC, that should be fun, no matter who wins.

Well, considering Ohio State is booked in OOC throught something crazy like 2016 with teams like USC, Oklahoma, and Miami (prolly looked better when they scheduled it than what it does now) they dont really have the open weeks to schedule Auburnevery college team has to have some bye weeks during the season. thats why they put temple and duke on their schedule. so they can get an easy win and their players can rest up.Gunnerman007Exactly, the SEC is the most physical conference bar-none. The Pac-10 doesn't play much defense, rather the hard hitting kind.
