Oh Wow... Kansas does not deserve to be in over Missouri.bgres077
I agree. I like both of these teams but I think that Mizzou deserved this slot. They proved it on the field in Kansas City a couple of weeks ago.

You beat me! Damn OU comes up on top again. :( lol.
Arizona State vs Texas....tough matchup, but I think we will do it.Espurs117
Sorry Dude. I was hoping that I wasn't going to post mine right after someone else.
Good luck against ASU! I thought that OU was going to get ASU in the Fiesta Bowl based on some of the projections that were coming out. I am hoping that the Big 12 has a big year in the bowls. We are definitely due as a conference.

I thought ASU was gonna get Fiesta too. I think the Big 12 is favored in alot of bowls, so a winning record is a possibility.
Holy Sh*t... Georgia? In the Dome? Cant wait... RTJP
can't wait ta get ya'lls ass kicked??
also Kansas and Illinois gettin a BCS is bull****. Mizzou took care of Kansas and is rated higher in the BCS...they should def. be in there. And if you're gonna put a 3 loss team in there, why not Florida?? They're better than Illinois and would give USC a much better game.

Can't put more than 2 in conference teams in the BCS....Georgia and LSU cancelled out Florida. Wisconsin was top 10 last year and got screwed too because of OSU and Michigan. Illinois was 2nd ranked in the Big 10, automatically put them in once OSU got the title bid....bunch of BS huh? Oh and Kansas..yeah, joke.

Hold it. Us Georgia faithful can't get too cocky, or we might see a repeat of 2005.
But then again, the black jerseys are returning... and the game might as well be played in Georgia based on how many fans each team will bring....

Were not gonna bring that much fans over for some lame ass reason...
Both offense will run and pass allover everyone in this one. One team through the ground one team through the air. Hawaii is playing in the dome, and you dont wanna see Colt Brennan get dangerous indoors.
This will be ALEAST my last msg, im leaving for the mainland on a trip for two months :( and probably catch a last minute plane to Louisiana on gameday.
Yep, MD gets Oregon St. in frisco. dont really know what to think of this game, other than we need to run the ball and play D, like every game.
this would be my BCS games:
NTG: LSU vs. Oklahoma
Rose: USC vs. Ohio St.
Fiesta: Arizona St. vs. Missouri
Sugar: Hawaii vs. Georgia
Orange: Virginia Tech vs. West Virginia
[QUOTE="spfx30"]Interesting matchups you posted, Terps, but why did you leave out Kansas?geaux321
Because Missouri beat them.
yep, and two more reasons: missouri's SOS was in the 20's, Kanas in the 100's, and you cant penalize mizzou for playing an extra game against a good team.
Once again, anyone that says the regular season is our playoff knows nothing, or is full of ****. I'm leaning toward the latter. If the regular season is a playoff, and every game matters, then how in the hell do you justify Kansas getting a BCS bowl over Missouri? Not only did Mizzou beat Kansas, they were ranked higher in the ****ing polls! If someone can figure out this whole cluster-****, please, clue me in.sith_acolyte15
Seriously I don't know how this works. I mean if your number 1 and 2 in the BCS then your in the title game...but how does being above some other team in the BCS not get you the pass over them in a BCS Bowl game? WTF is that? I don't understand that.

I agree with you both. The BCS system after many tweaks is still broke and when they tweak it again, then it will still be broke. I think that the KU over MU choice by the Orange Bowl was disgraceful (as was the choice of Illinois by the Rose Bowl over Georgia).
I would have loved seeing Georgia/USC in the Rose Bowl (even more than the OSU/LSU matchup for the NC game).

Illinois over Georgia in the Rose Bowl is, somewhat, understandable. They wanted their Big 10/Pac 10 matchup. Also,it's not like it kept Georgia out of a BCS bowl altogether.

In the current fabric of college football I think that the whole "Big 10/Pac 10" matchup is very overrated... I think that it was fine when it was the 2 conference champions fighting it out but now that one or both of these champs could theoretically be in the NC game then I think that choosing another conference team is pretty bogus (especially when that surrogate team has 3 losses). I have a master's degree from Champaign and have nothing against the school but this was a dumb pick in my humble opinion. I love seeing great teams playing each other and I would much rather have seen USC/Georgia than USC/Illinois + Georgia/Hawaii...

The Sugar Bowl takes the SEC champ, and since LSU was in the title game, Georgia had to go Sugar instead. There really wasn't much of a choice. I was anticipating a USC/UGA Rose Bowl a lot though when I realized it was probably going to happen.

My mistake then. I didn't realize that Georgia was required to go to the Sugar Bowl but this makes sense after LSU moved up. There are lots of strange rules in the BCS about different bowls stealing other teams when they lose their normal selection due to the NC game. I thought that maybe the Rose could have taken Georgia after it lost OSU. But now that I think about it, maybe all of the "USC/Georgia" talk that I was hearing was last week when it was thought that OU and WV might both win and LSU would still be in the Sugar and WV/OSU would be in the NC game.
