yeah smith wins and mcfadden gets second. arkansas had a zero year last year and this year they only lost 3 games and won ten. ND actually had a down season.

I would pick McFadden as well to be second, but I get the feeling that they will put Quinn there.

Considering Quinn is a senior QB that plays for ND and McFadden is a sophmore RB that plays for Arkansas.........Quinn will get 2nd.

McFadden I would be shocked if Troy Smith doesn't win it. I would like McFadden to get if it Troy doesn't recieve it. I kina wish they had more people even though Troy should win it in a landslide. I would have liked Hart from Michigan and Chris Leak from Florida get in as well. All of these guys are trully worthy of it

McFadden deserves to be the runner-up... and the front-runner next year.

I agree with your runner-up statement, but let's not jump the gun on next year just yet. A lot can happen between now and August.

McFadden for 2nd, it would be sad if Brady Quinn got second.

Next year, when JDB learns how to keep his head intact, he might just be a candidate!

Not if Smith and Jarrett are gone.

Also, don't forget all the great RBs and QBs that are still going to be around next year.

From Michigan, you've got Chad Henne and Mike Hart who are probably going to be contenders if they stay in CF. You've got P.J. Hill (Wisconsin), Steve Slaton (West Virginia), Ian Johnson (Boise State) who are all great RBs that will likely be back for next year's season.

You've got some relatively decent QBs in Tim Tebow (Florida), Brian Brohm (Louisville), Colt McCoy (Texas), Colt Brennan (Hawaii), Pat White (West Virginia), and Eric Ainge (Tennessee).

Of course, John David Booty like you said might be in the mix but as far as an overall list of players, I don't think he can jump this class of players and get into the Heisman race unless at least half of these guys try their luck in the NFL.

i highly doubt that Tim Tebow will be in the race. he's an alright quarterback, but doesn't have Heisman potential. imho.

Not yet, but he will be. I just hope Auburn can contain him and Harvin when they play next year.

Sorry, it's hard to analyze him when Chris Leak gets most of the reps.

 Oh yeah! I forgot about him!

I think I also forgot about Ray Rice. Is he a senior, NFL underclassmen, or is going to be back next year?

Smith is gone, but well we have a good WR corp, I am sure someone will step up. I don't think DJ will be leaving, he just might stick around one more year, we should have a much much better year next year, but then agian who knows, I dont like saying things until we actually achieve it. Just saying JDB, might be in contention, he is a really good QB, he looses his cool wayy too much, if he can learn to control that during the preseason, he just might be invited to NYC.

Well unless Meyer really switches up his gameplan, expect OSU should expect Tebow to run to the left... it's all he does.  Or that one little jump-dump pass he threw.

yeah, cuz i don't think i ever saw him run to the right in the SEC Championship game, and he ran it about 7 or 8 times.
