So far it hasn't been very good. The only key win for us has been against Virginia Tech who in my opinion was highly over rated otherwise we lost to south florida, mizzouri, and california. I know california is really good and S.E.C. is still most likely the best top to bottom but i think we're pretty down this year. We may bounce back because it is only the first two weeks but i'm not so sure all i know is i am very displeased so far with S.E.C. teams besides LSU, South Carolina and Florida and Florida hasn't played anyone yet but i personally think we still look very good. What are ya'lls thoughts on the S.E.C. so far this season?

The SEC is pretty down this year. LSU is pretty much their only "really" good team. I personally think Florida is extremely overrated.

Did you honestly expect Ole Miss to beat Mizzou? I mean, Ole Miss is terrible.

We'll get to see how Alabama fares against FSU and Kentucky with Louisville next week.

Nah i didn't think ole piss would beat mizzouri but a loss is a loss and they didn't represent us well. And if the S.E.C. isn't the best who is?

LSU is no joke I'll tell ya that much. I think it's hard to tell just 2 weeks in as well. All these teams are still trying to find their rythm, juggling players around, etc. The SEC is not what it normally is though I can tell you that.

well the big ten's not the best this year. it might be the big 12. texas beat TCU, OU is dominating, we will just have to see what nebraska does against USC.

there's notta damn thing wrong with the SEC. Tenn. lost to a solid Cal team and Auburn lose to a really underrated athletic USF team. and UGA lost to an underrated South Carolina team:x **** i hate Steve Spurrier. plus LSU and Florida look like top 5 teams so far, even though Florida hasn't played anybody yet...

Troy has a great team, best of the Sun Belt. They recruit speed. Oklahoma St. is crazy to schedule a game in Troy, and I honestly expect Troy to win that game, I think it's this week.

That's not a topic even worth discussing. LSU USC National Championships... "Defense Wins Championships" So Glenn Dorsey gets 8 tackles and 2 sacks, USC gets pummeled , LSU wins 48-14... Book it... I can see the future.

Troy most likely got 31 points on us because after we were beating them 49 to 7 at the half we probably put in our third and fourth string and showed some mercy but i couldn't watch the game so i wouldn't know but that's what i would assume. And i don't get why everyone says the Pac10 is so great, sure they have three or four really good teams at the top of their confrence consisting of USC, California, UCLA well i personally think UCLA is highly over rated because they haven't proven anything besides beating USC last year but that's just my opinion. Then you could put in Oregon and Arizona State. Otherwise the Pac10 has no other good teams. Then the Big 12 looks pretty good so far, the Big East looks pretty good as well, the Big 10 looks pretty good although after Penn State, Wisconsin, and i guess Ohio State they aren't very good either, the ACC pretty much blows, and the S.E.C. is still good but not great. Right now in my opinion the top three confrences not in any order would be Big 12, Big East, and S.E.C. And i agree LSU would probably beat USC. LSU looks very beastly.

Still the best conference, but weaker than most years. Tennessee might be the worst team in the East. Yes, maybe worse than Vandy, who is actually supposed to be decent this year. The Pac-10 is a lot stronger this year, but after USC and Cal, there's not much to it except for UCLA and a couple others that are just bleh. Big 12 has Oklahoma and Texas doing good, but not much after that. The Big East is better, but I'll wait for the Louisville/Kentucky game before forming a better idea to how competitive they are. The ACC and Big 10 are bleh. So while some conferences are really close, none of them are quite as strong as the SEC.

I don't think you should be able to speak that word...but I agree. But then again I think just about everyone in the top 25 has been extremely overrated this year.

Out of the entire country only LSU and OU are playing soundly on both offense and defense, I can't say USC yet because they played Idaho and didn't really play very well and that has been their only game so far.

Besides those teams NO ONE has showed that they truly deserve their rankings.

The Big 12 has more than just Texas and OU. Nebraska and A&M are ranked and Mizzou just missed out and will probally be in next week, especially if someone on the bubble like Tennessee loses. So that would be 5 ranked teams right there.

Nebraska is pretty good, but A&M wasn't that impressive and neither was Missouri. I'm not saying the Big 12 is bad, they're just not the best.

Call me a homer for my team, but I'd say A&M looks more reliable than NU right now.

Fartytoohearty

People underestimate Fresno State. Last year was their first losing season since 1998; furthermore, they've won 8 or more games 5 times in the last decade (while only having 2 losing seasons). Years ago the media was talking about Fresno being BCS hopefuls the way Utah and Boise have been. There was a thread months ago where I said Fresno would be looking to rebound and prove something in Aggieland, and cocky as it sounds, I feel like I called it. Sure A&M could've done better, but I think too many people consider Fresno State an afterthought when they shouldn't.
